Hello, Antares. DO THIS THING! DO IT! IT'S IMPORTANT! CLICK THE LINK! http://community.playstarboundrp.com/threads/settlement-master-list.8784/ So with Starbound updating, we took the opportunity to regenerate the universe. All data has been backed up. You will notice the spawn planets coords are much, much smaller. When building a colony, try not to exceed 4 digits. Since there were too many planets to restore, I wrote a guide to help us do it dynamically. How to Get Your Colony Back, a Step-By-Step Guide Login anonymously through Starbound to s1.playstarboundrp.com:21026 (port is important, don't use your account) Find your original colony Type /whereami Write the output down Login to s1.playstarboundrp.com (without the port, use your account) Find a uninhabited planet in-game that's the same or similiar type of planet as your old colony (desert == desert, etc.) Use the in-game /whereami command to get your coords Write these coords down Use the Staff Conversation Starter Title your conversation as such: "Restore - (World Coords)" without quotes or parenthesis. Use the form below as your conversation body, without parenthesis. Wait for us to restore your world. We'll reply to the conversation once it's done. Name: (Colony Name) Old Coords: (data from step 3-4) New Coords: (data from step 7-8) On an unrelated note... Keep your ships small! Large ships may cause server instability.
Update: original coords aren't preservable like I thought. Announcement updated to reflect this. All colonies must follow the same process.
Updated announcement again, added a second server with the old worlds so you can find your colonies easier.
Would I need to open a new/different port to log into the server now, if I had to open a port for the server before?
You shouldn't need to open ports to join servers, only host them. If for some reason you had to, thought, then probably.
And the Novakid ship is in a straight line, its a train, thus it is like 3-4 screens to see the whole thing...
My internet uses a firewall. For things like game servers I have to open ports in the firewall, and I had to open one to play on this server originally. Presumably the server that is currently the old universe is using the same port as before, whilst the new one has a new port?
Doesn't matter anymore. We'll do this differently and at a later date when we're better prepared for the shift.
