Freelancer makes it easy mode. You just serve a king or marshal until your level, relations and dosh is cranked. Then you build an army of imperial troops, which you can customize loadouts of. Then you just build an army of peasants, and only take on groups smaller than you. If you know they have high quality troops, just automate the battle. Battles are played out by who has more, rather than who is better.
My god, thief deadly shadows, I haven't played the new one but Deadly shadows was a masterpiece, I can't even explain how much I liked that game.
My advice, don't play the new Thief unless you want to be let down. It's not a bad game, it's just not as great as the older ones.
Yeah, I get what you meant. My boyfriend pre-ordered ESO Imperial Edition recently and I got to play it for a while. I had to keep myself reminded that it was an MMO and won't be the same as the Singeplayer TES games so I could enjoy it. I ended up having a lot of fun playing it :L
