Prince Alaecta is similar in nature to Sir Hammerlock from Borderlands 2 in both his speech pattern and how he sounds. I based Tadpond(Teddy) off of a mixture between Aiko-Yori and Tiny Tina from Borderlands 2, but Tiny Tina has the bigger influence.
I consider Bodehn to be somewhere between Darth Vader, The Doctor from Doctor Who (Specifically the Eleventh) and a bit of Marceline from Adventure Time thrown in for good measure. Darth Vader, because I just feel like you see this tall, armored figure walk into a bar, you're immediately gunna think "Oh crap, staying outta this guy's way", but he's got this drive to help people, you know? That's how he's like The Doctor. He doesn't like to see people cry, always tries to think of some clever way to get everyone home alive, but doesn't really have any idea why he shows up in certain places. He never asks WHY he's there, he just likes to help if there's a problem. And Marceline? Come on, Bodehn's a thousand years old and he plays various instruments.
Danien is the "crime-against-nature" child of equal parts Jayne from Firefly, Finn from Adventure Time and myself. He's tough, but not as tough as he thinks, he's caring and he can't really sit still.
It's hard for me to pick out which characters mine are similar to, though I've had other people do so (which is always kind of neat). Lessee if I can do this troper-stylee, though... Aissa: Knight in Sour Armor, Deadpan Snarker, Good is Not Soft, Action Girlfriend, and Big Sister Instinct in a Spy Catsuit. Lately influenced by a helping of Break the Cutie. Shiori: Well-intentioned Extremist, Bitch in Sheep's Clothing. Sandkeeper and Halfmade are still kind of being developed. It'll be interesting to see how they turn out.
