Hmm, Trite's file is corrupted, but Garlandorf and Amanta are OK. I think I found a pattern: only characters I logged out while in a world in the server are corrupted. No custom items involved. It might be an issue related to world generation, and since they were editing that in this patch I wouldn't be surprised. I managed to fix Trite though, I just traveled to a random planet before the game crashed. Huzzah. PS: I'm 99% sure ship modding is unrelated, Trite doesn't have a modded ship and my other two characters who were okay did. EDIT: Yeah, confirmed I managed to fix Trite. Its a world file problem.
I suggest it being ship related because some of my characters would crash the game instantly and they had modded items placed, Awe's ship thankfully didn't and he didnt crash. I removed the others guys shipfiles and they work fine now.
I deleted the ship files and tried and it still doesn't work. I don't know if it is just different in my case but for me my characters are just screwed.
No... the server is hell... that and a new hotpatch came and made it worse. Dont expect a stable server within 24 hours if this pace keeps up.
We're still tracking down the server issues, and, as has been stated several times already, will not be supporting ANY mods until we're sure everything is working. We will tell you when both are ready.
Are the characters that are corrupt permanently gone? Or will they be fixed once the mods have been updated and support is back up?
I know, that's why I asked in the way I did. Well, can you keep us posted if any progress is made, please. I'm sure we're all eagerly following this development and hoping you guys can figure it out.
In addition to our own mod conflicts, it turns out Enraged Koala kinda has a few bugs of its own. We're waiting on Chucklefish as well.
I suspect if the server is Furious and members have been updated to Enraged, they wouldn't be able to connect. That would open up a whole new can of worms, honestly. Mods just aren't that important... and it's going to be buggy, regardless.
...not a bad plan.....We did that a lot on my last minecraft server, we updated a good week or two after the game did so we could transition more smoothly
I DISCOVERED WHY SOME PEOPLE CANT USE THEIR CHARACTERS. The CREATIVE MOD has custom techs and if you have custom tech, it's over. I had the custom techs . _.
