From what I recall, I believe this is accurate. So, probably not a good idea. At least we can connect our buggy selves to the server at all, right now. Sometimes. Also, awesome job figuring this out. Now if only we can figure out how to fix it. Can editors remove techs?
Only problem is that there is no way to downgrade your game in general. Redwitt ik your feels man. T.T ik those feels.
I think the best course of action is to be patient and wait for our staff of coolguys to fix this in a timely manner, as they often do. Mods will come in time but we were doing just fine without them until about a week ago, if you'll recall.
Any OLD container item will crash you upon use. This can be fixed by simply destroying the item and replacing it. No container item is exempt. Purge everything on your ship. Wait for colony leaders to purge their colonies of all containers.
Also: http://community.playstarbound.com/...-customizable-ship.49165/page-20#post-1805595 The FCS mod creator just basically said in a nutshell how to fix the mod versions. Huzzah!
How do you take off the Lockers on your ship? Also, a bunch of boxes I had on my ship are gone now. This is probably an error with the patch and we should probably wait for chuckles to come out with a fix.
It is the result of changing something in the filetypes for containers and other usable items. I forget exactly what the details were, but it basically just separated chairs and beds and the like from containers and other usable items. The trouble is, this change did not automatically update existing items, just new ones. Hence, an inconsistency. Hence, our current problems. I'd imagine there's a way to fix this bug from Chucklefish's end, so maybe we'll see a hotfix within the next 24 hours. Let's hope?
Lets indeed hope. Until then, im probably gonna stay offline or something. Suddenly don't wanna play with all my shit gone.
Basically what I've been saying, too. No sense trying to find workarounds and fixes when it hasn't even been a full day yet. Give the devs a chance to react, people.
Well to be fair, removing lockers takes five minutes or so. I'm not REALLY going out of my way to fix it.
so just destroy it and set it back down? all the stuff inside will be fine? my locker is just gone btw. didnt even remove it
Okay so I have an invisible container now. Can't destroy it, or open it. But can put things on it and it's driving me crazy...any suggestions? Also is there going to be any kind of forum for people trying to maybe trade amongst each other to regain containers and things they lost from containers? I know a lot of people lost stuff. Just an idea so we can help each other out.
