Decent studies Shag. When you're trying for a complex form like the hand, try breaking it down into its simpler shapes. Fingers are not a series of spheres, and do not resemble snowmen. Remember, studying is not about copying the image, its about understanding its dynamic and form.
I'll keep that in mind. These two hand drawings were copies of my hands, to understand the position of each finger and muscle in my palm and the resting/flexing position of each. Whenever I try to draw hands without a point of reference something horrible comes out. Regardless I've started to look for books on introductions to perspective and the human figure. Though I'm not too sure where to start learning exactly, and only started by perspective and human figure because it's the only thing that comes to mind. People say "The Basics!" or "The Fundamentals" but I honestly have no idea what those are.
Those are actually things such as perspective, and other things I can't remember. Try looking it up on youtube, no joke it helps.
Random warmup sketch. Was listening to this while drawing it.v I don't know what the thing at the right is. Some sort of masked goblin? Imp?
Sketches of a human skull. Practice! If I had to critique myself I'd say the third skull on profile needs a bigger lower jaw. It's too. . . tiny and it looks odd. A shoutout to @Node who told me I should practice drawing real skeletons. Thanks mang. [EDIT] PS: If anyone wants to try and learn how to draw spooki skelintons with me, go to this site! It's an interactive 3D model of the human skeleton. [DOUBLEPOST=1432525952][/DOUBLEPOST] The things that happen when I get frustrated with a drawing.
Been practising a whole lot more lately. Not much has come out of it but here's a panda and a figure sketch for now. I'm kinda leaning towards a more 'MSPaint Magic' kind of drawing style for now.
