Which OS are you using? Also, a few users reported last night that it wasn't working if you were using a nightly build. I've already fixed that problem and it should be in the next minor release (0.7.1) when that comes out soon.

    Hey Phaze,

Any news for alpha layer support down the road? Right now, if any of my characters have anything with a fourth octet in a Hex value, SBSE will not load them.

Does alpha work for sure? I could implement it in the next update if that's the case. I feel like I remember trying alpha a while ago and it didn't work, but maybe it's been added since then or something.

    Hey Phaze,

Many of us take advantage of the alpha layers in-game. Most of the RA guys and myself can confirm that they work properly.

Cool thanks for the info. I'll add it to the next update!

Speaking of updates I just released SBSE Desktop 0.7.1 which supports Starbound Nightly and has a few fixes I missed. Update is available at: http://sbse.hyunsdojo.com/download/

Downloaded it to test it out. Keeps crashing when it tries to read player files i guess. I'm on windows 7, why does this happen?

What version of Starbound are you using? Do any of your player files have anything unique about them?

Hey, I can't seem to find this, but how do I go about changing the color of a transparent layer? I've been able to figure everything else out here, but I can't figure out those layers to save my life

Transparency support isn't in the released version yet, sorry! I'm currently out of town starting at a new job but I'm going to try to release a version while I'm here if I can. This is an example I recorded before I left of how transparency will work (also has pose switching):

Oh! I thought it had been released already because I've seen some differently colored visors (or I thought I did). Thanks for all the hard work Phaze!

Modifying Alpha layers is not limited to SBSE. You can do this through Starcheat, or by using a simple text editor on an exported item.

I'm trying to modify the Outrider's helmet specifically. I wasn't able to find the right color to edit.

Can you give me the item ID? It would be something like 'apextier2' or 'humantier3'.
