This thread is literally for feedback on punishment. It was made very soon after the whole document thing.
It's correlation vs causation, The event did likely trigger a need to redefine rules and ways to handle them, but it is not WHY this thread exists, it is simply the most recent issue on the pile. It was more of a wake up call that what was being done was not working, players were taking matters into their own hands rather than going to the staff, they were forming mobs, attacking players directly.
What Rezima said, really. If someone wants to bring it up as an example to a point in here, that's fine, but please do not make this thread about that one incident. This thread is bigger than that.
