They can be attracted by magnetism but metal itself can't attract plasma to keep it in one shape.. especially an humanoid form. That's why I say it's Fantasy blended with science. Of course a piece of metal is totally different from a core, the real difference is that it's more logic for a core to maintain something, not some random pieces of metal curiously making omega logos and acting as a core giving intelligence- Arg anyway this is endless.. Forget it.
