Here is the first audio log from Luis Guillermo Martinez. Luis would go on describing what his experiences after he left his home to seeking adventure after a couple months. (02/01/2417) [RECORDING STARTS] After a couple seconds, the sound of a tungsten chair sliding across the floor is heard. "Hey there, this is Luis Guillermo Martinez. I decided I'd give recording audio logs a go while I'm away from home would be a cool thing to do so... here I am! From my time being out here on the Frontier... I'd say it's been quite the experience! I've met a bunch of amazing people, and I seem to have found my 'home away from home'." Laughter could be heard shortly after, and there seems to be silence for a moment. "My father used to tell me stories about Earth, and other planets he visited as he served with the USCM. To me, it seemed like he had a hell of a time! As for my mother, she didn't really go too far away from home. Not like it mattered, she brought into this world and never brought me any harm. Even though my father had a more interesting past, I like him anymore than my mother. Besides that, my experience out here can't be compared to my father's. All I've done is go from system to system looking for a decent job. I found a spot here and there, but I was finally able to reach a place like Refract Valley, a place where the people actually care." Another pause, and then the sound of fingers tapping on wood can be heard. "Raybina, an old and wise Avian. She responded to my message I was sending out on the radio. I found her voice to be the sound of hope for some reason, like it was destiny that she would respond to me at the time. I would type in the coordinates on my ship, and then I met up with her and she explained how things worked. Hell, I was probably the happiest young man in the whole universe at that point. I was told I could work there for as long as I wanted, and have a home. They even gave me a choice on both! From all my time out here, it was only 'Do this. Sleep here.' I then went ahead to meet Zephyr and Mairi, two Nova kids. Weird folk, but friendly nonetheless." Laughter can be heard, as well as the low hum of a cat's purr in the background. "I even met a beautiful gal, probably one of prettiest ones I've seen out here. I messed around with plenty of girls in the past... but this one... she's something else! I've been thinking about her all the time now, I can't seem to shake the thought of her unless I start hanging out with some of my new friends that I've made at the Valley. Hell, I even talk to them about her. They all think it's cute, but man I feel like I might be going crazy! I've been escorting her home a couple times since she lives pretty far from her job. From what I witnessed, the gal seems to like me too! She gave me a couple of kisses on the cheek for walking her home. Maybe soon I could catch a meal with her and take things a little further!" More laughter is heard in the back ground, along with the sound of someone bringing their hands together. "Aside from that, I have a whole bunch of other stuff to sum up. Got hired as an Enforcer for Refract Valley, and I'm waiting to get trained by the boss and the other enforcer that's around. My home should be done in a week or so, and I seem to have made the acquaintance of a Floran girl that has a pain in her head for some reason. First time ever meeting a Floran, and this happens. Damn gal won't leave me alone either. Had to tell her I'd get her some more food as long as she stays put at the Civic Center. Well, that goes for that. This is Luis Guillermo Martinez, signing off!"
