Oh god, I don't know. Avatar: The Last Airbender was my passion as a child (Or... early teen) and I love Samurai Jack, Stars Wars the Clone Wars was a surprise hit for me as well. But right now? I am a huge fan of Steven Universe. Great show, great writing, great characters, it makes me feel like a kid again watching it. There's this innate splendor and wonder in it that I can't quite pin down. I don't know if it's the great artstyle, the concept, the episodic-yet-also-part-of-something-greater style that harkens back to some old shows of my years. Maybe it's the FANTASTIC musical score. I don't know. So... yeah. That'll be all.
I don't just have one favorite needless to say. However I can list many that I have loved through the years, and still love. He-Man (1983 & 2002) Transformers (1984-1986) Transformers: Beast Wars Inspector Gadget (1983-1986) Thunder Cats Dino Riders X-men (1992) Looney Tunes Cowboy Bebop Full Metal Panic Samurai Jack Megas XLR Ren And Stimpy Invader Zim G.I. Joe (1985) Teenage Ninja Turtles (1987-1996) Blaze Star Duck Tales Reboot Dragon Ball Dragon ball Z (minus the Boo Saga) Dexter's Lab Tale Spin Darkwing Duck Swat Kats Batman the Animated Series Courage the Cowardly Dog That should about cover it... maybe. Sorry if I listed most of every bodies childhood. As for why well. Come on! I grow up watching most of these.
I should really finish that.. I'm so close. Noragami is also a great anime. Moved me to tears, but then again, I'm easily moved to tears.
Attack on Titan was great, still waiting for the second season. However my favorite scene was when he was carrying the massive rock. Like a boss!
Oh yes, but only watch the english sub, not dub. It's the difference of watching a true mastermind with a wicked touch, and a greedy teenager. Also, in that respect Code Geass is also great.
I use to be overly critical about sub versus dub in anime as well. These days I find a lot more effort has been put into certain anime in regards to dubbing though. Case by base basis for me.
Sometimes it's just a matter of what you see first. If I had seen Dragonball Z and Naruto subbed, I probably wouldn't have liked them dubbed. I like to watch things in their natural state. Seems like this thread became an anime thread kinda. Still though, One Piece. But with more honorable mentions. Batman: The Brave and the Bold and Batman Beyond and Teen Titans (before Teen Titans Go! Ugh)
Oh yes certainly! In fact some dubs are better than subs in some cases. It's just that Death Note was created in the point where the english actors were adjusting to the japanese culture/style of cartoon. So the voice acting was awkward, and sub-par.
