Ahh. That makes sense, I guess. Please do your mods a favour and take it out of game, then. I wouldn't want to stumble across that either, as humourous as that stuff can be sometimes. I see this sentiment frequently, along with the sentiment that sex is a viable part of roleplay, and I don't think I expanded on it enough in my earlier post, so lemme just expand upon this matter. IC Sex is very different from ERP. The former is a reflection of a natural part of life and romance, and often a significant source of character development. It can be awesome for roleplay and for various plotlines, and can even spawn subplots of its own. It can be a very positive thing. ERP, however, is actually roleplaying that IC sex, and that's another thing entirely, and often negative. I won't continue to explain what ERP is since we already talked about it, but to explain why: Think about it like a blockbuster movie. A lot of action movies these days - and even more romantic comedies or dramas - have that big scene where the protagonist gets lucky with someone. It's a big deal, in terms of character development. Oftentimes the talk that results the following morning or something is a big source of some big reveal, exposition, or just a source of humour, depending on what kind of movie it is. In any case, it tends to be one of the bigger parts of the film. But, at the same time. In any of these films (aside from a few R-rated ones), do you see this scene actually acted out? Usually not. It's unnecessary, and it's going to give the film an adult rating, or R at the very least (and most films like to aim for that PG to PG-13 mark). It would make it terribly uncomfortable for any younger viewers, and most likely for many adults as well that don't go into it expecting that. (And honestly, nobody goes into Starbound looking for hot pixelz. Usually.) And, finally, it just doesn't accomplish much from a storytelling standpoint. It's pornography. Even in the most indie of art films, it's not going to give you much in the way of plot development. So, to summarize: Sexual content in-character can be interesting and valid plot development. Erotic RP is a different beast entirely. Like I said earlier: Just as you can easily have "innocent" RP that's honestly pretty uncomfortable and stuffed with OOC double-entendres, so too can you easily have romantic RP that does not have to lead to ERP. Consider it a matter of courtesy, guys. You know how pretty much everyone hates that couple getting touchy-feely in the middle of the public park? Well, don't be that couple. Even romantic RP that isn't ERP is something I try to take to whispers if it comes up, just as a matter of courtesy. Most people seem to appreciate it, I find. TL;DR: Have some courtesy and understand your fellow players may not want to witness your relationship RP, especially if it's ERP. You can easily have the former without the latter, but, if you must have the latter, then take it to Steam. Because I think I speak for the playerbase as a whole when I say that if we're here to watch The Avengers, we don't want to see The Hulk and Captain America making out. :\
Once again, in case anyone who DOES partake in ERP (I dont judge) who might still not fully understand. Is it wrong to ERP? You could argue forever about that. Is it wrong to ERP in the server? You bet your ERP-ing ass it is, and for good reason, aint no one wanna see your relations. Its not so much "Don't be that affectionate in public couple" as much as it is "Dont be that weird couple who keep trying to get it on in the park playground"

This is also what most good authors do when they're writing a respectable work. It's come to be known as a "boot scene" among fantasy readers where it's implied but the details are never stated. It's really the most mature way to handle it if you're not trying to make a pornographic novel.
The mature way of handling it is to acknowledge in your own way that it exists and not bring un-needed attention to it. There is nothing wrong with erotic words, or people writing out paragraph after paragraph or erotic rp as long as it is kept away from the IG servers.
Oh, no, I don't mean to call that immature. However, as a general rule, it's very rare to have a situation where that's warranted. Thus it's best to avoid it in most scenarios.
That being said, I do feel like this, and many other rules need to be touched up or explained a little more clearly to any future Anterians.
