Anomaly Zone Name

Following the vein of people saying that it should be the first thing that popped into someone's head once they got there, I propose calling the cosmic anomaly "The Blip", and the place everyone getting sent to being something similar, such as "The Blip Zone". However, it sounds incredibly silly, which might actually add a bit of humor to what is apparently going to be a harsh new world.

 

keeping in theme with "antares" being the name of a sun
why not "The Betelgeuse Frontier"? it sounds fancy for a shitty place full of people trying to get by
think of it like greenland and iceland
the names are that way to frick with people

 

The anomaly throws us somewhwre we don't know the location of Betelgeuse would stick a location to it, really

I personally like the idea of calling the anomaly 'The Blip', just not 'The blip zone'

 

I can actually imagine a buncha people being dumped in this new zone and being like this:
Guy one: "Wow, that was trippy. Where are we?"
Guy two: "We are... I dunno, so I'm just going to say Somewhere."
Guy one: "Well let's call it Somewhere then!"
Thus I suggest the name of "The Somewhere"

 

The Forge. A place where a Red Hypergiant collapsed and spread cosmic debris throughout the known universe. Like a blacksmiths forge, the collapse created millions upon millions of unknown, uncharted galaxies, each with their own attributes.

 

How about "The Last Frontier"

 

Its obvious that as this thread go's on we'll just throwing more names out there instead of agreeing upon anything.

 

Wait, "The Void" sounds good too.

 

Something just occurred to me about this whole naming process. Based on what Kaz has said about this anomaly, it seems that everybody is going to end up on their own planet for the most part, which means that each person is probably going to have a different name for it, kind of like how in some zombie stories different groups will have different names for the undead (zombies, walkers, biters, etc.). So how about everybody just comes up with their own name for it at the start, then as settlements build up the name for it can be determined through IC interaction? It seems kind of silly to decide something OOC that could never be decided en masse like this IC.
Just my two cents, mind you, but I think it could be kind of cool for different groups to meet each other and be like "Oh, you called it x? That's funny, we called it y." or whatever. [Didn't think this would become so long xP]
