I've been having trouble trying to draw lately :C </3 So heres a lil warmp up thing. Tryin' to... stuff.
Artblock is SHIT. I've always felt that taking time off from art and just watching movies/shows or exposing yourself to media you're not familiar with helps a lot.
Ok Aiko, I see you didn't fulfill my request so I just went ahead and made an example picture for you of what Captain looks like, except I did it in using pro-tier actual pen-and-paper. Hopefully with this depiction you can accomplish the task I stated beforehand of drawing Captain in his natural habitat.
DISCLAIMER Despite common belief I'm not actually a licensed surgeon or an engineer. (This is 100% probably not accurate in the slightest shut up)
Well, you have a basic understanding that arm rotation comes from the clavicle and the scapula. That's all you'd need to get the actual prosthetic to move up and down. Not too sure if you attached at the serratus properly. Rather than going from the joint straight down, try attaching the mechanical plating back up to the scapula (So from the front of the ribs around to the back). I think that will give the joint all the movement it needs. All rotation of the arm will come from the prosthetic anyway, so I think you can get away without the pectorals, deltoids, biceps, etc.
I have no idea whats going But you mentioned "attached at the serratus properly." Why would we want to attach it to a muscle? Either way, glad to know this actually sounds legit enough. It's also not supposed to be an uber high quality procedure, so the amount of cutting and reinforcing was limited.
The serratus anterior is going to let you pull the scapula forward. Pulling the scapula (shoulder blade) forward basically means that you can rotate the shoulder joint forward. Without at least a few muscle attachments, you would be able to rotate the shoulder in the ball and socket, but it would be stuck to the side of the body. You wouldn't be able to push the shoulder forward.
It's really fun to see you grow your artistic skill and develop a style, since you first started. I like the picture; however my only three critiques is that her neck looks to be shifted heavily to the right; almost like it's going onto her shoulder; and it seems elongated, however that could purely be your style. The nose seems... a little to the left. Just looked a little weird to me. However aside from that, it's looks fantastic! Keep up the good work you good m8
I actually see all of what you're sayin', it's totally off :C Boo. Oh well, rinse and repeat. ANYWAY. Heres some stoopid doodles I did just cause I was bored, and cause holidays. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND THINGS NICE AND EARLY... HERE YA GO. Kay bye
