Here's one that I haven't seen yet. Title says it all. When your character speaks, what would be the most accurate sound, tone, etc? Videos/sound files are your friends in this, of course. But don't feel like you can't use text to explain it. I also feel this could be a nice resource for better immersion, as often times, people imagine a voice with a character that isn't what the person had in mind. :3 AEDAN The sound of his voice closely resembles that of Krieger from Archer. When he's really into his research, his pace in speech and the like starts to sound like Mordin Solus from Mass Effect. Voice is still Krieger, though. The original concept of Aedan was actually meant as a cross between these two characters, as well, with a hint of the Tenth and Eleventh Doctor. LOL
Alice: She'd sound calm and friendly. I'll search for a voice file later. Syntia: Kinda like Alice. Pulsar: Female and less-robotic Wheatley (Portal) Anna: Slow, tired, somewhat sad most times. Faversae: When within colonies, etc... can really sound like anything, she modifies her artificial voice to avoid being caught. However, her "Serious", true voice would sound like glados.
Gamma sounds like man-GlaDOS. Crosswell sounds like that guy in old western flicks with the stereotypical southern drawl. Ristrik sounds like classic hissy Floran.
For IronTide I think he would sound a lot like the narrator from Startopia, cynical and rather technical in a funny way For Big-Mech probalby whoever the hell says "decepticons mobilize, its just cause Big-Mech needs a low pitch robotic voice For Counterpoint, defiantly Elvis Presley, after Counterpoint was trapped in a ship for years with nothing but Elvis to listen to, both his holographic projection and his voice slowly adjusted to him. (So yeah... Enjoy some Jailhouse rock!) For Daedalea Quercina.... Well its an Agaran.... Uh... *scratches head*
I suppose Ash would be like a deeper, less raspy version of this. And I guess Weavle would kinda be like Brian (the dog) from family guy? And Wukong would totally be Danny Sexbang with a slightly deeper voice.
Sativa Don't really got much of a refference, I like to think he sounds like a raspier version of the Argonians from Elder Scrolls Teddy Just...less cringy. Markus Uh...I'd say Magnus from Kid Icarus: Uprising, but that's lame...so no real clue. Goldplucker JVK-353 Y'know those robots in Fallout New Vegas, like Fisto? Yeah, he sounds like those.
Since I mainly play Aishiteru, gonna focus on him now. Well, I imagine him sounding like Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad. Just that total lazy bastard, asshole teenager. Definitely fits the big changes Aishi is going through right now. EXAMPLE FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT WATCH THE SHOW: Two notes: This video is a spoiler for BrBa, and at about 2 minutes in it shows random clips from the show instead of ones focused on Jesse.
Hmm let's see.. Petal's voice I would describe as high pitched but not shrill or your typical anime style, also raspy due to being floran and all with the natural hissing, suppose just an average young female if she was a snake. [Don't know any characters that could describe as a similarity] Drige I imagine having similar voice tones as M. Bison. The manner of speaking seems to fit him well. Algernon Lani Minella, Skyrim female dark elf is how I imagine her voice. Sounds nice and haughty which fits the character putting on airs of confidence even when scared ****less. Cateth: Youthful, yet monotone, her extensive time amidst glitch growing up didn't do much for her social skills and empathy. [Think Rei from Evangelion but not that quiet]
I suppose female dunmer voice from Morrowind would fit Krishna a lot. But I guess Krishna would sound more like Andrea Martin when she does that loud, commanding voice.
