A young, rather handsome avian in his mid-twenties sits in front of his computer, dictating logs to the AI. Q-BE OS [Version 6.3.9600] © 2415 Triton Enterprises. All rights reserved. Galactic Date: 2416/01/04 USER: Veon L. Summers Entry #1 I suppose it's about time I start taking note of everything that's happened so far, what is happening, and what will probably happen, along with any other sensitive information. Perhaps this data log will make a good read in the future. Well without any further delay I'll let the AI do it's voice-to-text thing. <Throat clearing>. The Project has thus far been a resounding success, with little to no problems to conclude. <Click-click-click>. The small -but technologically advanced- outpost Equinox has been finalized and contains all the necessary essential modules for temporary habitation and research. I can finally start recruiting people into Equinox and begin digging into some of the left-over tech of Triton, along with any other plans given to me by a few friends in Sheridan. Which reminds me, I think I may have to speak with Daniel about it. <Humming>. Yes, yes I have to speak with Daniel as soon as possible, that attack back in the old Triton Headquarters can't have been a coincidence. Four- no, three armored men or women in the offshore base- <Tongue click> Gotta start digging around about these guys. Well-trained, well-equipped, effective; clearly these guys weren't dirty scavvies. Good thing Dana was around to help me clear out whatever data and salvageable resources remained in the HQ. <Humming>. Black, gold-rimmed armor. Must've been after more than just oil or the processing plant. Well, what remains of it after we blew it. Data perhaps? Most likely trying to get into our database to steal our tech. Well too bad for them I suppose. <Lighthearted laugh>. Equinox owns it now. Should lay low for a few weeks though, if they found us there it may do well to keep the existence of Equinox quiet, at least until we have a way of defending ourselves. I don't think the weather of the outpost is going to stop them. <Pensive Humming> Moving on, I think I'm ready to start working on these shield generators. I've finished a couple of models on the simulator so I might as well get my hands dirty and start going through the manufacturing and testing process of each part. So far I've got the main plasmic well built. Those solarium cells look a bit too unstable though. I think I'm going to reinforce the cell plating with a double-layered ablative ceramic plates. I'm going to need a lot of hands. . . End of Log Entry. >Data Log Closed and Updated. [Images Attached] A tech scan showing main plasmic well's thermal radiation and power spikes.

I was a fool to think they'd leave me be. It's been several days already but I can't get it out of my head. I got a visit in Equinox, and almost ended up dead. Thank Kluex for my quick wits, that negotiation could've gone worse. They only wanted one thing, and one thing only: my silence. Why? I've got no idea. Maybe they're fearful Cullen will get involved and they don't want any trouble from big shots. And damn right they should be if they are, I wish I could snitch on them to the Council. Thing is, if I peep even a word out they'll cut my throat and I'll probably end up in some trash compactor before any security forces arrive to conduct an investigation. See that was the so-called negotiation: I keep my mouth shut and they don't kill me. I tried to sweet-talk my way out of it but it seems their leader is quite perceptive, though I did manage to talk them into at least considering some manner of repayment. I hope I get something out of this, because no way in hell am I going to let them go after that little intrusion back in the HQ.<Sigh> <Rustling.> <Electronic Beep.> Oh, the technicians are done with the reactor unit. I suppose the nova diffusion array is the only thing left to do. I should run a few diagnostics on the reactor first. Wouldn't want anything going wrong when we start testing the shield generator. I hope Metal Breaker and the other two didn't mess anything up. The schematics were quite clear. I think >Data Log Closed and Updated. [Documents Attached.] Spoiler: MPW-01 Data Entry Excerpt The Main Plasmic Well, dubbed MPW, is an intricately developed, delicate expensive piece of equipment is one of the main four components of the newly developed Kinetic Shield Generator, or KSG for short. MPWs often make use of Solarium-3 rods and less commonly, -due to volatility and increased chance of damages to the equipment though they produce more intense and powerful results- Compacted Erchius Crystal rods, or CEC rods for short. Solarium-3 rods and CEC rods in the MPW are made to react with bursts of high-intensity arcs of electricity, effectively generating a large amount of plasma which is redirected to specialized storage containers, or 'wells', through the use of electromagnetic tubes that forcibly make the plasma flow into the wells. These wells increasingly store and compact plasma into a highly volatile yet powerful and manipulable state. Although the MPW is not the only component that can do this, it is the only part of the generator that does it at a large scale for the sole purpose of creating enough plasma to then use as the primary layer of the KSG Shield Bubble, which is why it is called the Main Plasmic Well. MPWs are usually kept plugged in to a stable, constant supply of energy that allows them to maintain the flow of plasma. MPWs are also placed within the innermost space of KSGs due to the fact that they are exceptionally vulnerable to corrosion and firearms. MPWs are usually encased in heavy ceramic plating that can keep corrosion, light caliber rounds and low-energy plasma bolts from harming the MPW and triggering an explosion that can obliterate most materials up to a range of 14.5 meters, and causing severe burns to individuals without G-3 type insulating gear up to a range of 20 meters. It is recommended that the MPW-01 model be shut down, disconnected from power sources and completely drained of all plasma before attempting to complete maintenance routines, repair, or replenish Solarium-3/CEC rods.

Summers Entry #3 We've run tests on all the already constructed main components, only the nova shield emitter array is left. Everything's tested green so far though, I don't think we'll have many problems.. We have optimized the power-up and shut-down process of the KSG's reactor unit, it should take 14 minutes instead of 20 to shut-down and power-up. After this I suppose it's time to put together all the parts and prepare to carry out field tests with the KSG's power efficiency, resistance to plasma bolts, lasers, bullets and explosions; preliminary simulation testing expects a capability to resist around 200 kilo-joules of energy every second while maintaining an expected 67% power-usage efficiency. It should take a small army to overpower the shield. So long as everything goes to plan that is. Well, technical mumbo-jumbo aside we haven't gotten any more visits from those guys in armor so I think we'll be left alone for a while, which is great because I'm not exactly looking forward to seeing them again. In other news Nihili finished developing that new security system for our terminals and the mainframe. I better get in contact with some officers in the Council. It'd be good to license that security system and sell it. It'd make a good profit on the side. That AI is really handy. >Data Log Closed and Updated. [Images Attached.] The file attached is a 3-D model of the Kinetic Shield Generator. It appears to be the final product.
