The Treaty of Antares

The world “faction” is used interchangeably; It refers to the owners of factions and colonies which are part of this treaty. The word "attack" is often used to mean having attacked first, not necessarily attacking back.

Clause 1. Right of Amending
We, the factions, have a right to amend any part of this treaty, in order to better suit the ideals of now, given it is a majority vote by the factions to make said amendments. In order to make said vote, factions may meet anywhere they choose, so long as it is in their jurisdiction. There will be one representative for every 5 people in a faction. Each representative will cast one vote towards making the amendment part of the treaty. A representative cannot be the owner of the faction. If there is a tie, then individual faction owners may step in to make a vote.

Clause 2. Right of Self-Defense
Any faction which attacks another that is part of the treaty will be attacked by any and all other factions part of the treaty. If a faction outside the treaty attacks a faction within the treaty, any and all factions in the treaty have the right to attack the outside faction, and are compelled to do so. If a faction which is part of the treaty attacks a faction outside the treaty, any and all factions within the treaty are compelled not to help the attacking faction.
