There are two paths for a monk of the Temple to take. The path of Vi, or force, which focuses on strength and will, and the path of Kojitsu, or subterfuge, which focuses on intelligence and cunning. The initiates are locked to light armor and a pistol, and may get simple assignments. However, they will mostly just get training. The next up is the scout, which is finished with their training. They have a choice between light and medium armor, with heavy available in case of emergencies, and are only allowed SMGs or pistols during assignments. Lastly, there is the temple defender, who has access to everything there is to offer, and generally has no assignments other than defend the temple. This, however, can change if heavy support is required.

Finally, there are the Loremasters and Grandmasters. Loremasters organize the search of knowledge, handle day-to-day operations, and know the Codex Scientia by heart. The Grandmaster is a rank focused on the overall strategy, and does not handle day-to-day operations.
