    Introduction:

Hello, I am Bernard. I am a struggling artist traveling the sector looking for some sort of inspiration. I know, it sounds a bit contrived, but I have not had much success in my earlier work. I am a 150 year old Novakid who has forgotten most things about home and my family. I've been traveling the galaxy for the past 50 years to follow my dream, and escape the harsh prejudice I got from my early settlement for being a misbranded poet of sorts. Thank you to Mairi for telling me about Starnet. It might be a good platform for my writing to get out there. Maybe paper and pen is really not the way to go.... Anyways! Here is the first part of my new works compilation, "Sky of Suns Vol. 1".

    RAINFALL OF FERNBROOK

Raindrops descend from a tower's view,
An obstructed sunlight still shines through.
Friendly people sleep in their beds
To await a fresh rainfall scent when they lift their tired heads,
To the farmer that works in the blistering sun,
To the shop owner who sells everything from tools to rum,
To the friendly people who greet you at entry,
To the lazy livestock who live in animalistic gentry.
As I watch the rain drop down the impressive treetop petals
I was told by a friend to never get up, and to contain your mettle.

This truly is is the Nomad's devil.
