Yep, it's one of those threads, early hello to those who I know will have something to say. But I'm not here for you, I'm here to give a farewell to those I actually care about, my farewell to those on the server. some who will follow with me. Couchpotato- First person I met, you were always an example of how one can keep IC and OOC distinct, a shame the lesson has been lost. Leschinsky- You were one who was easily accepting of others, and helped show people all walks of life deserve to be here, a shame the new lesson is hate should prevail TD: You were always friendly, accepting, because you had been through everything, a shame the very kinds of people you fought against hold too much power Guardian: You liked to play the hero, IC and OOC, a shame the villains are now loved more Character details for those who would care. What remains of petals body lies in the ruins of Port Last Cateth has moved on to other sectors, finding the collective intelligence of many habitants unworthy to study or indulge Drige returned to his home, remembering where it was, sanity restored, and lived peacefully. Antares was a home, a place where I found friends I could call family, we made characters, we made lives, we lived stories. We laughed, cried, had a great time, even when our characters would be hurt, because it was all for the sake of stories, never to truly hurt each other. We never worried about everything falling so far apart as it does now. The hate was never such a festering pit that you couldn't even avoid it by staying away, it's dark arms grasp out, desperate for as many things as it can to latch onto and pull in, to shroud out the light. The people sit idly by, as the disease spreads, either confident that if they do nothing, it won't touch them, or they helped to spread it, with their own methods or deliberate joining. The good ones fight against it, but they do not find enough allies, the powers in the world turn away, blinding their eyes to the damage, as the few left are overpowered as those they once called friends have submitted to the darkness, finding it easier than resisting. As the decay spreads further and further, encompassing some of the last havens, and driving the light out with darkness, some of the last survivors leave. Shaking the dust of the broken land from their shoes, as the head off, beginning again, knowing when to let go. Goodbye. To those who will be sad to see me gone, I am sad I must go, but it has become difficult for me to even look at what my old home has become. To those who are happy to see me go, who will no doubt be posting here shortly, with your comments of trolling and "funposting". I have nothing more to say to you, speak as you will, your taunts fall on deaf ears, and my eyes do not see you anymore. Together you may be a festering swarm, but alone and ignored, you are but whispers upon the wind. The video I share above this section contains all I could ever say to you. Edit: Also, thank you for proving all my points To the few who still work to uphold the fight, i only wish you good luck.
See you on the other side Your dreams may have been shattered, but your legacy and memories shall not to be forgotten.
4 reals so heartbroken. (edit) I just noticed if you read the post as an Anti-Bullying message, it actually works out
It's actually one of the primary points I intended. It's what unchecked trolling[cyberbullying] can do to a community.
It is a bit of a dramatic post, but please keep in mind that the intentions behind the post may not be what you think they are. There are many ways to make a point. I'm unlocking the thread. Please remain civil.
Since there seems to have been a lot of confusion, the whole "overly dramatic darkness and whatever post" was deliberate. That seemed more fun to write than "We got sick of trolls so we left"
Another familiar face exits the stage. Bye Malachar; hope you find something better where you're going.
