Hello, and welcome to primitive weapons 101; today, we will be masturbating to
just how great primitive weapons can be. Down below, you will find many
different kind of weapons, and the specifics to them. Consider this a page on
what you can expect from Sempervines, as of June 3rd. Without further d-

    Atlatl
"A poor mans sniper rifle." -Antares Proverb
An atlatl is a long-range tool that uses leverage to propel a javelin or similar
instrument at speeds at over 150 km (93 mph). It uses a bearing surface to store
energy during the throw, giving the tool its strength. The florans make theirs
    out of wood.

    Sling
"Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and stuck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell face-down on the ground."-The Bible, 1st Samuel, 17:50
A sling is a projectile weapon typically used to throw a blunt projectile such
as a stone, clay, or lead "sling-bullet". It has a small cradle "pouch" in the
middle of two lengths of cord. The middle finger or thumb is placed through a
loop on the end of one cord, and a tab at the end of the other cord is placed
between the thumb and the forefinger. It's swing in an arc, and released to
propel it at over 96 km (60 mph.) The florans make the slings out of plant fiber
    and use stones or rocks.

    Bow & Arrow
"Even as the archer loves the arrow that flies, so too he loves the bow that remains constant in his hands." -Nigerian Proverb
A bow is a flexible arc which shoots aerodynamic projectiles called arrows. A
string joins the two ends of the bow and when the string is drawn back, the ends
of the bow are flexed. When the strong is released, the potential energy of the
flexed stick is transformed into the velocity of the arrow. The florans use wood
and stretched plant fiber to make the bows.

    Spear
"A well timed spear is worth three." -Ted Williams
A spear is a pole arm consisting of a shaft, usually of wood, with a pointed
head. The head may be simply the sharpened end of the shaft itself, as is the
case with fire hardened spears, or it may be made of a more durable material
fastened to the shaft, such as flint, obsidian, iron, steel, or bronze. The most
common design for hunting or combat spears since ancient times has incorporated
a metal spearhead shaped like a triangle, lozenge, or leaf. The heads of fishing
spears usually feature barbs or serrated edges. The florans use wood,
bone/stone, and leather straps to make theirs.

    Sword
"There's not much you need to know about the world. Except how to use a sword and trust very few." - Melina Marchetta, Froi of the Exiles
A sword is a bladed weapon intended for both cutting and slashing. A sword in
the most narrow sense consists of a straight blade with two edges and a hilt,
but it can be applied to bladed weapons with a single edge. The florans made
    their swords out of bone.

    Tomahawk
"All our lauded technological progress, our very civilization, is like the axe in the hand of the pathological criminal."-Albert Einstein
A tomahawk is a single handed axe resembling a hatchet with a straight shaft.
Tomahawks are general purpose tools that are often employed as a hand-to-hand,
or as a thrown weapon. The florans make tomahawks out of wood, bone/stone, and leather straps.

    Ball Club
"Tyson, for your bravery in war; which new weapon would you like? A sword? An axe?" Zeus said. "Stick!" Tyson said. "Very well."-Rick Riordan, The Battle of the Labyrinth
A club is among the simplest of all weapons: a short staff or stick, usually
made of wood, wielded as a weapon since prehistoric times. The florans make their clubs out of wood or bone.
