Professor Oak’s Handheld Medical Scanner: H.M.S. The medical scanner is able to perform simple diagnostic functions such as reading vital signs and internal scans. It can also be used to scan a specific area for more advanced readings. The medical scanner's range is generally close, though it can get bio-sign readings from the distance of a few feet. It is however incapable of performing accurate scans on deceased people. Also worth mentioning is that the device is equipped with a small hatch, where it is able to analyse small organic tissues and blood/sap samples. ((The scanning takes a few seconds and can be interrupted by several things, like moving outside of its range, placing something in front of the scanner, hacking the device, creating interference, ...)) Despite what the device’s name would imply, it is also capable of analysing the inner structure of a Glitch and is able to detect internal structural damage to the Glitch’s core systems. This usage of the device, naturally, employs different scanning methods. However, it is not capable of scanning the mysterious Novakid. The device also has a standard issue communication device built-in, with StarNet-integration, and it is also equipped with a recording function, for the purpose of establishing a database of previous patients. This database is stored onto the device and is transmitted to Oak’s S.A.I.L, which in turn transmits said data to Oak’s archives in his lab, for the purpose of having a back-up if the HMS or ship were to be destroyed in the field. Data analysed from blood/sap/tissue samples; which will be obtained in three different phases in RP. It’s no just 1 scan that instantly provides all the answers, subjects will still most likely be transferred to a medical facility.))
