Nicodemus is an elderly human, around 6'9, 184 lbs., with a tall, yet slender build and pale skin. His careworn face is relatively wrinkle free, yet frown lines and small wrinkles are appearing around his eyes. He has a beak like nose which sometimes is used to hold up his reading glasses. Cold grey eyes rest in their sockets, with pupils that, at times of anger, shrink to the size of pin pricks. His clean, neat, grey hair is combed over, with not a single hair out of place. He is not muscular in the slightest, usually relying on guns and swords to defend himself. His arms seem longer than the average human's, and his long, bony fingers can easily clamp around someone's hand, the finger tips reaching around to touch his palm. Due to a land mine explosion, Hawthorn's right leg is amputated 2 inches above the knee, a stump remaining until a prosthetic leg can be attached. Nicodemus is usually dressed in a black double breasted suit with golden buttons,as well as a black trenchcoat, and black slacks with black dress shoes upon his feet. In really cold weather, he wears a black trenchcoat with fur trimming. When overseeing a case, any case really, he wears traditional black Judge robes. When presented with a document, he wears half moon spectacles. Upon his right ring finger, he wears a golden signet ring, which bears two crossed gavels with a crown above them. The air around Nicodemus can be described as cold. Literally. He seems very authoritative, very orderly, and very cold, in the sense that he seems to be just about buisness and nothing else. His handshakes are firm, yet anything but friendly, his hands literally frigid. If one was to look at his eyes, they would find them odd, his stare unnerving, while one defendant has described it as "otherworldly, and outright terrifying when he stared down his nose at me."
*UPDATE* Hawthorn's elongated limbs (arms, legs, fingers, toes, neck) unnatural height, thin body, and frigid hands is caused by Marfan Syndrome. Thankfully, he does not have the chest deformations or speech impediment, but his former heart issues, and slowly degrading eye sight is caused by the complications of the syndrome. BUT the syndrome does not explain the cold air around him when he becomes angered. That is caused by something else entirely.
