people who saw this before know what this consists of bad ideas i have idea 1 roman based glitch empire colony it's hiveminded there will be a curfew enforced (with wonky mechanics but it's being fleshed out) how curfew works: after an [x] amount of irl time passes, people will be required to go home. everyone's house will be connected in some way but it will not be the main attraction of the colony, that would ruin the purpose of the curfew. what you do indoors isn't monitored as it is when you are outdoors there will be gladiator duels there will be sexism (assuming no one gets mad at me for it but thats kinda how romans operated) there will be a dictatorship there is probably gonna be a faction based around it but only glitch would be allowed in it there will be a list of laws some will be unique the jail will be humane the housing will be humane too (+1) uh i'll post other cool things if i think of anything
The entire premise behind this sorta falters when you introduce the hivemind aspect of it to the idea.
All the hivemind are connected. They would all see and know what the others see and know. They know where each other are and what they are doing. Having a curfew provides no real benefit aside from limiting their own coverage of the city by having less hiveminded glitch out and about. Pretty sure it doesn't matter where you are. Hiveminded glitch are connected. That's the hivemind. You can't just flip it on or off. That's fine, as long as it isn't hiveminded glitch fighting one another, as they would potentially kno what the other was going to do, which makes for a rather dull fight. Pretty sure sexism isn't really a thing among glitch, as while they have variants that make them appear male or female, they don't actually have a defined gender or gender roles.
its not glitch restricted you bakahead it is a colony under the control of hiveminded glitch im on mobile so my response is tiny and such. sorry
Hiveminded is too vague a concept to create a hive-mind faction. We don't know enough about the hive-mind to know whether or not there's Roman hivemind glitch out there. If you're going with a Roman i'd suggest using the republic as political structure, because that is way more interesting.
hiveminded basically appoints a leader and said leader gives instructions to everyone else in the hivemind its like how bees work idk how bees work a roman hivemind could exist, isnt rp about having fun??? also plx explain your republic idea bc im tored its 3am and brain am dead
You could have faction hierarchy based off the Roman republic political structure, which would open up a lot of political intrigue à la rome. Assasinations, propaganda, bread and games, ... Curfew would be hard to manage with all these different timezones and not every member being online at the same time. And I think a Roman Hivemind "could" exist, as i think the introduction said Glitch got stuck in different era's, the ones we play in game obv. medieval era.
i caught the empire bit after i posted sor anyway sorry if i came off as rude im tired lmao anyway, the curfew thing works like this: say its hourly the counter starts when there is 1 or more people on the planet once the hour is up, you'd have (x) minutes to go home if you beam down during curfew and you own property there, you can either be escorted to your property without fining/arrest or be held in a humane restroom(?) for the remainder of curfew with your friendly neighborhood janitor
I think this would interrupt RP... Also there's timezones that have 0.5h difference. Personally i think a curfew would just repel visitors.
eh. if you lot say so, i'll take yer word for it. not gonna fight for something i was iffy about in the first place.
ok im back in black and on my laptop im not trying to sound like "oh whatever blah blah sympathy boyz" or anything i do appreciate your feedback and for the most part i've asked people on steam and whatnot and the response has been the same "it not good" "it disruptingive" "bad" "narf get out *hits u on the nose with a rolled up news paper that unrolls and flicks u in the eyes*" etc. so it ok :^) anyway i'm gonna be around to reply to more stuff pertaining to this idea then i'll stop once i post about a different idea ok? ok. hugs & kisses from ur friend narf <3
hey nerds narfball here with bad idea number 2 alright so you may be wondering "narfball-sama what are you here to tell us" shut up okay so basically we have a bit of everything that isnt narfball's bad ideas on this server why not like legitimate detectives because y'know, all these cowboy-esque vigilantes that just go off of hunches aren't all that fun to look at "i think steve killed joe" "lets kill steve" "ok" *cums* its just not fun like, i get it, a lot of colonies have cameras, or there's normally a witness but what about isolated incidents where there isn't a witness or a camera or when the killer doesn't stupidly fucking announce themselves to the galaxy saying "ayy lmao i killed joe" "it werent steve after all " just narf's food for thought and idea for food thus making it thought
Stuff like this, detectives, PIs, bounty hunters, only really work well in planned events most of the time. reasons being two fold. It requires the killer/target/thief to supply the players with clues in some manner of organized way. Much of what could be gathered in terms of evidence would not be visible or obtainable without such input. The other being the sort of roleplay on the server. Everything moves fast. There are very few conflicts that don't start and end the same season they happen in for one reason or another. I would love to see more stuff like this, but it requires people to work together to make it happen.
