Might be gone for a bit longer

    Ok basically my laptop borked, and the only other computer I have is too old for Starbound to run on it, so I can't really do anything. it may take a few more days until it's fixed.
    Just posting this in case anyone was wondering.

    Mind if I ask how old your working laptop is?

    The reason I ask is because there are some things you can modify in Starbound to DRASTICALLY (and I mean -drastically-) reduce FPS lag from active shadows.

    it's not that, I mean the game won't even start. like, the computer just says the game is trying to do things the computer can't do.

    Oh, I see..

    Well, sorry to hear that.. If you are at all interested, I have the game running on a very old Lenovo T400 by using Linux and disabling all shadows. I only get around 20 FPS on average, but that's saying something!

    Ah, that's cool then. But I have a mac, so I don't know if that will work.

    Of course it will! Fedora runs amazingly on Macs (they have mac compatibility modules built right into the kernel).

    Whoops! Posted the -uninstall- link, lol.

    Looks like the procedure is different for each model. Google should be able to tell you really quick.
