I am familiar with Starbound Lore, funnily enough. Lore Sample: Tentacle 'Monster' In 2406, the planet Earth was destroyed by a previously unknown creature since dubbed simply 'tentacles.' This creature shows parasitic properties, seemingly 'feeding' from the planets it destroys, though further research has been proven difficult due to the highly destructive nature of these creatures. They do not resemble any creatures known by any races, and seem to have simply arrived from nowhere when they first destroyed Earth. Now they are rapidly expanding, and have since destroyed the Antares sector almost entirely, leaving it wholly un-inhabitable.
