HI. I'm Aiko. I'm the Aiko-est. I'm good at answering questions and sharing my opinion on controversial subjects and such. I'm not staff, so if you're looking for a non-staff perspective on something... Just Ask Aiko!
Why are you such a popular person Aiko, having created multiple popular colonies like Avalon? What is your secret?
Yes I know that group. Was... was that the question? I think it's because I'm generally pleasant an innovative!! Nah, but I like to build and I'd consider myself a good builder. People like to RP in a pretty location, so it's simple like that On top of that, I like to include interesting features/story/resources on my colonies that promote centric and dynamic RP! Mines, horrifying sewer systems, caverns, and hiding spots of other varieties give the 'baddies' a bit of a hand when they need it. Awe, that's really sweet. I never really considered them that great, but I guess I could go over my usual character development formula. When creating a serious character it's important to look at all aspects of their life. Starting with their parents. How they were raised can easily affect their attitude towards things such as religion, commitment, tolerance, kindness, patience, and generosity. Their childhood setting helps set their personality, from things like 'anger issues', 'book worm', 'introverted', 'computer whiz' yada yada yada. All of this stuff is important, and it's helpful to map it out thoroughly before developing a character. It helps immerse yourself in their brain, and allows you to make decisions and actions as they would! It's important to remember that noone can be great or even good at everything. Consider what your character had spent their life doing, and what skills that may have provided them with- As well as what faults it leaves behind!
Oh! Okay, let's see... They're a bunch of nice folks, but if you're looking for me to give them constructive criticism, hmm.... I'd say they've stuck with the same stale characters & mindset for far too long. It's hard to improve as a roleplayer if you permanently glue yourself to a single, OOCly flawed character. They always seem to resort to 'supreme' militaristic reign with the same systems and practices instead of adapting and changing, showing little dynamic. Everyones entitled to do what they like, though! And they're highly committed, which is respectable.
Yes No, that's a solo thing. Yes 40 since last tuesday Because I'm fuckin' smokin' Yes but nothing to major or with much exposure. I took on the roll as pixel artist for a small community developed game on some rando forum awhile back. If that counts.
