(( This is from Vecks, uploaded anonymously from a public terminal on a random colony. Any attempts to trace it will simply bring up some random public computer, with a new, discarded account.)) A video plays, showing the dark, dank reaches of the Liberty Mills undercity. The camera overlooks the entrance to the prison, with copper stairs bathed in the dim light. A cavernous echo resounds throughout the video. At first, the scene is serenely quiet and empty. After a few moments, sounds of talons and boots clacking across the metal flooring echo against the stone walls. A group from the Holy Fleet arrives in front of the Liberty Mills prison, with two clad in power armor wielding heavy rifles ((Harwa and Inaros)), a pink Avian dressed in the green plating of a Guardian wielding a spear ((Akoris)), then a red, rather simple looking Acolyte wielding a red, multi-pronged spear ((Hepu)). They surround a pair of Florans, both unarmored, handcuffed, and unarmed. The first is feminine with orange petals and clad in a dress and scarf ((Freya)), and the second is wearing a tribal mask with green foliage and clothing ((Meat-Biter)). When they arrive in front of the Prison's thick, durasteel doors, shouting immediately ensues. The orange-petalled Floran seems distressed, proclaiming her rights. The other is relatively quiet. The fleet members squawk aggressively at them, accusing them of breaking and entering. One of them ((Inaros)) steps aside, and speaks into a radio. Soon after, a seemingly bored and apathetic man with a mask and cloak arrives ((The Bounty Officer.)) He speaks in a dour, yet distorted and staticky voice, questioning the Fleet officers about why they want to use the prison. According to his summation, it becomes apparent that the two Floran were dining in an abandoned apartment, before the Fleet broke in and captured him. The Bounty Officer expresses disinterest, and enters the prison, doors slamming shut behind him. He has rejected their use of the prison. Caesarion arrives a few moments later, and stands at the door. The Florans are left alone with the group of soldiers. The Avians glare down on them with disdain. Shortly after, one of the Avians in power armor ((Harwa)) gives a certain look to the acolyte ((Hepu)), communicating hostile intent. The volume of the video increases. Without hesitation, they both begin cracking their spears against the Florans, causing them to double over in pain. The loud THWACK of blunt force striking into plant matter echoes throughout the cavernous reaches of the undercity. Cuffed, injured and unarmed, they are forced to take the injury and bite back utterances of pain; trying to remain resolute in the face of the staccato beating. Afterwards, the Avian in golden power armor towers over the pair and glares at them, then commands in an imperious tone, "Get moving, Weed." The video ends. ((The video is signed, "A resident of Liberty Mills."))
**after watching the video, Abbey downloads the file off her PDA and stores it on a flashdrive in case it were to be removed**
*Durge and Skyrax Download the video to their computer/pda/whatever so it won't be entirely gone if deleted*
-Aissa watches the video, anticipating more riot-inciting by the title. When she sees the two Florans she'd rolled up on getting arrested for breaking into her apartment (goddamn it, that place has basically been through a trauma conga line wtf), she frowns as deeply as her necessarily limited sympathy will allow (it is not very deeply). She clicks away to watch cat videos because screw those guys.-
-Remy would pause the video as soon as the beating happens, and just automatically uploads them to his database, a bit disturbed.-
I fail to see how beating Florans in such a minor way is considered brutality. They are likely already recovered and back to maiming residents or whatever it is they do there. -Dr. Mizu Suimaa
Clearly this was taken out of context. If these florans wouldn't have done something before they were filmed, nobody of the fleet would have any reason to attack them like this. =Maathorneferure=
"Was that building even abandoned? It's possible they were trespassing. Not to mention, they may very well have also incited worse action against them, perhaps fighting back. Though, I gotta wonder how this footage was even acquired in the first place. If the person recording was that close to all of this, I'd imagine he'd have been spotted by more than one person. On that note, it's also possible this was staged or something." -Aedan
*Crosswell watches the video in a bored, unfazed manner, and then simply downloads and stores it away on a separate drive.*
-Lyra -Not interested since it lacks a lot of information like the reason why they got arrested in first place-
(( Raoul )) Amusement: Perhaps I was wrong about this cult. Maybe they actually do have the backbone to fight. Disappointment: A shame that they have to pick on these little Florans though. The Cult of Bird Jesus is doing little work, however. Observation: Clearly there's a deeper reason to this, though if the case being is they're "arresting Floran for eating in some random apartment", they should set their priorities better.
Floran isss opresssed minority on Liberty Millsss. Treated like criminal for jusst being floran. Floransss are banned from hosspital too. Speciessissm iss allowed now?
-Doc Moses Banned thanks to some of them causing almost all the trouble inside it. And this last time it has led to propierty damage, so thank those fuckers for banning to the last one of you. I'm not going to lift it. And hell, those hits in video are... good ones. If anyone wants oppinion, they didn't cause a lot of damage, mostly to hurt them without internal damage. Heh.
Akitor stares at the video at first with contempt, then with anger. Walking away, he stops, turns around, and slams his fist into the computer screen, shattering it.
