Interstellar News Network: Was Port Last Betrayed By Its Heroes?
    Written by Janio Zayen

The fall of Port Last and the Relzurautt Armada to the savage Floran "Blackleaf" warband struck a blow to all our hearts, and many songs of praise and remembrance have been sung for the heroes that held back the tide - the men and women of Port Last's security that sacrificed their own lives to buy time for civilian evacuation. However, in this special investigation conducted by INN, we reveal that we may have all been deceived.

In our previous publications, we uncovered that some police elements in Port Last were acting sympathetic to violent Florans and discriminating against other races and shed light on the inadequate and racially biased security measures employed by Port Last officials.

While Port Last's policies have proven to have contributed to its ultimate downfall, the motives for why RA officials enacted them have been unknown, until now.

Multiple individuals who are hailed as heroes of Port Last have been identified, alive and well, serving the USCM in what is known as "Task Force 77". It is well known by anyone who has read StarNet documents in the public domain that the Relzurautt Armada's biggest rival during their prime was the United System's local military detachment in the Antares sector.

The question arises as to why loyal RA soldiers, who miraculously survived an ordeal where massive casualties were reported to Port Last defenders, would join the sworn enemies of the Relzurautt Armada? Perhaps their new high ranking positions of command and authority in the USAF are the answer, or the equipment they "salvaged" from their transition away from duty.

Whilst Interstellar News Network are not permitted to name the individuals under Section 443.1.21-4a of the Journalism Privacy Communications Act, we encourage readers to examine public records readily available on StarNet, inform themselves, and come to their own conclusions on what really happened to Port Last.

INN promises that we will continue this investigation and, for the sake of the fallen of Port Last, uncover the truth.
