We have arrived in Taranis to find a battle taking place within the colonies arena." -A video plays in a red hue, showing two people fighting over a large pool of bones, one is oddly holding a frying pan. There is also a Glitch in the foreground, taking up half of the screen, the other half showing the two fighting.- "Statement. We have determined that the one in green is indeed Glitch after comparing fighting styles between said Glitch and past fighting styles." -At this point in the video, the Glitch breaks open the Apex's helmet like an egg, revealing it to be who some people know as "Noah"- "Excitement. It seems we have received a lucky break, thousands of years deactivated after failing my duty, only to awaken and find the holy grail of traitorous Glitch. We will not fail our duty." -The video turns off- "We will succeed, we will bring them back." <Playback finished> <Playback stored>
<Saving Playback> <Playback saved as "Jailed Glitch"> -A video feed comes on, onscreen is a man in what appears to be an Usurpers coat, or of similar make, a hand comes up holding a datapad, showing it to the man, he requests for any weaponry, which is shown to be a spear that is spun around and jabbed down into the ground by the viewer. A quick scan is done, and JVK turns around and heads downstairs, the feed goes off.- "Excitement. We have located a worthy candidate to bring back to us. He is confirmed Glitch from our previous talk with the man at the front desk." -The video feed comes up to a man in orange power armor, JVK looks down to see that the floor is covered in what appears to be fecal matter, he looks up with the man discussing ways of escape.- "Furious. We cannot believe that our race has succumb to such horrible, disgusting designs, let alone throwing what we have identified as human "remains", such a sight wishes we had our spear. Calmed. We will reprogram him, and he will thank us." -JVK's hand goes over his visor in what appears to be a facepalm, he shakes his head, walking off, the feed slowly going to black.- <Playback finished> <Playback stored>
<Saving Playback> <Playback saved as "Success No. 3"> <Initiating Playback> -A video feed comes on screen, showing a pink-colored Glitch wearing a basic, gray shirt with a pink scarf, who'm could be recognized as "Avi", she is back against the wall of a ship that looks to be in a poor state, with stone walls, and wiring breaking - "Excitement. Finally, it has happened, we have finally found our lucky break, and have captured a traitor to be reprogrammed." -A voice can be heard coming from the video feed now.- "Demand. I will not ask again, get on the table!" -The female Glitch would respond and beg to leave, but would fall upon deft ears and a spear, held by JVK would appear on screen, the sharp end lighting up red, with a few sparks dancing on it. He begins bashing the female Glitch with the flat side of the spear, cause sparks to fly off, until the Glitch is knocked offline, with a crack in her faceplate. JVK would put his spear away, and pick up the Glitch, setting her on what appears to be a torture table with 4 shackles, near a wooden table, covered in various junk and tools, all incredibly dusty. The footage would soon fade to black, with an eery silence, at one point, the sound of a latch opening, and others of shuffling, before the female Glitch's voice is heard again. "Fear. W-what are you doing?!" "Response. We are reprogramming you into the Hivemind, once you have become on of us, you shall be given a new directive." -After a while of the Glitch pleading to be let go, her voice is heard fading, as though she were slowly shutting down, before silence is heard, with occasional shuffling noises heard.- -Soon, the footage comes back on to Avi, with a repaired faceplate staring straight at JVK.- "Query. Where shall I begin?" "Response. Considering our lack of current knowledge of any nearby Hivemind foundations, you shall be a Chef on Taranis. You will not reveal what has happened here, nor your Hivemind status, you will also obey every last order we give you. You are to also not reveal the fact that we control you for the time being." -He unshackles Avi, letting her fall to the floor just fine, walking over to the teleporter.- "Statement. I shall gather the required attire." "Response. We shall stay here to hide any signs of these events. Welcome back." -The Glitch beams down to the planet, with JVK watching, as he turns back down to the table, a voice is heard over the feed.- "Excitement. <Saving Playback> <Playback saved as "Fear"> <Initiating Playback> -The film shows JVK's ship, a dusty, poorly kept ship with similar appearance to a dungeon, he is bent down, cleaning up a few broken tools, there is also two halves of a table, chopped right in half and in the corner of the room, only seen when JVK lifts his head once.- "Worry. Avi has contacted us and alerted us that a member of the order, called "Franz", asked her if she would be leaving the order for the directive we gave her. Deceitful. We requested her to call her current directive a "side-hobby" for now, until we are in the clear." -JVK picks up the remaining destroyed tools, and places them in the corner with the chopped table. He then walks over to an area near the reprogramming bed, where he picks up the remains of his spear, chopped into the pieces, and the blade cracked up- "Confused. We do not get how this is so hard for us, we were programmed for this duty, and we have already begun to have trouble keeping our secret safe. We suspecte-..." -JVK stops, then shakes his head- "Statement. We do not doubt the hivemind, these mistakes are ours and ours alone. We will continue our duty, and do said duty more efficiently, and error free." -JVK would toss the remains in the corner, and enters his ships helm, where he sits down and looks at a console, onscreen are two files, one saved as "Avi" and the other named "Altan". He then looks up.- "Fear. We do not have a choice, but we do not mind." "Statement. N-not at all." -JVK would start pressing a few buttons, causing his ship to jump to another planet, as it does this, the film slowly fades to black and ends.- <Playback Finished> <Playback Stored>
<Saving Playback> <Playback saved as "We're lost"> <Initiating Playback> -The film shows a stone jail-cell, with JVK standing still, giving the camera no movement. Any criminal of Taranis could recognize this as their dungeon.- "We...don't know what to think any more..." "We have failed our duty, but was it our duty to begin with? Were we truly a member of the hivemind?" "We met the leader of the order, despite our planning...despite everything, we failed." "We failed what was our supposed mission." "Now, we do not know any more." "We don't understand what is going on, I-we...why can't we say I?!" -The film immediately jerks down to look at the floor, JVK's fingers noticeable at the edges of the screen, as if her were clutching his head in pain.- "Why are we here, why did we do this, what is our purpose if our directive is moot?!" -The film becomes grainy, as the playback now shows a door- "Their leader...claimed that we were not a member, we were but an outcast, our model not looking anything like your typical hiveminded Glitch. If we were an outcast...why did we do those terrible th-things...why was our directive so sickening?!" "We...we called our directive...sickening...didn't we..." -The screen immediately dashes to the bed, as it gets closer, JVK walks over to the bed and sits down on it.- "...We don't know who we are...but...maybe...no, we don't deserve anything after what we have done..."
