About Us:
The Berg, as it was named by its original settlers, began as a simple mining operation for the Vaughn Mining Company. The Eri Delta system was rich in oil and erchirus, attracting the Vaughn Company to the area, where multiple mining rigs were deployed. Over a period of a few years, much of the valuable fuel had been mined, but many of the workers still planetside expressed their attachment to the snowy planet. To accommodate their hard-working employees, a more permanent settlement was created and a deep-drilling operation was set in motion to sustain them. In the present day, The Berg is a quiet yet charming little outpost nestled in the chilly icebergs of Eri Delta VII.

Things to Know:
Laws:
The Berg does not have it's own formal system of laws, instead relying on the judgement of security officers and common Council-Space law. Laws to abide by include but are not limited to: do not murder; do not steal; do not attack/assault others; do not possess substances outlawed by the council; do not carry/brandish any destructive devices. Punishments typically consist of being banished from the colony; banishment times depend on the crime and officer.

Climate:
The Berg is situated on a planet that experiences a near constant winter. On average, it is about -20 degrees celsius, so packing warm clothing would be a wise decision. If you don't already own appropriate clothing, you can take a mad dash over to the general store to purchase some.
