Overview The 437th Indigenous Guard Battalion, part of the 1st Expeditionary Militia Regiment, is a special operations unit apart of the United Systems Interspecies Militia. At a point, the Council realised its outer fringes were in danger of outside incursion, and they had no real way to combat such a threat. As the head representatives convened, it was decided they needed a professional military unit to fulfill the role. With the Miniknog refusing to dispatch units and most other reps unable to contribute, the United Systems stepped in. Thus, the Military Assistance Command, Council Space was born. Two battalions, the 437th and the 240th of the Indigenous Guard, were assigned. Split on the platoon level, they were spread amongst the fringes to train and lead special operations capable militias to combat incursions on a covert guerilla level. On a basic level, it consists of multiple training courses, a firing range, a landing zone, a multitude of tents, and a teleporter assembly. Xerian Base Although it is not yet complete, there is another installation being constructed on the colony of Xeria (belonging to Shag, who invited us to set up there.) This base will be far more expansive and sophisticated than Camp Valiant, comprising of multiple pre-fabricated structures, a secure perimeter wall/fence, on site surveillance, and electric locks for all exterior access. The weapon has a standard rail integration system to allow for easy external attachments, along with varying 30 and 50 round magazines. Armor [C&A] M5/AS-5 Armat Personal Defense System - A collection of armor plates forming a personal body armor system. Undersuit The undersuit is a set of utility fatigues in varying color palettes suited to different environments. The base pattern is a digitized tiger stripe configuration, seemingly suited for dense and closed in environments. Helmet A comfortable head shell made of a lightweight steel alloy and ceramic composite matrix, cushioned internally with gel-filled and foam padding. Rated III+. Primary Plates A plate carrier, groin plate, and pauldrons comprise the primary plates. The plate carrier itself holds two type IV+ durasteel plate inserts coated in anti-spalling rubber. The groin and pauldron plates are simple steel type III plates still coated in anti-spalling rubber. All of these plates are additionally coated in a thin ablative cover colored green. All plates come with camo inserts that hook onto the plates, effectively changing the actual armor's pattern. Secondary Plates Thigh plates are the consistency of the secondary plates. The thigh plates being in the same configuration as the pauldrons and groin plate, except rated type III. Accessories Mag-Holsters: Both thigh plates have toggleable electromagnetic holsters embedded in their faces, controlled by a mechanism on the plates themselves, connected to an external power source usually secured on the user's rigging. Tac-Piece: A tactical eyepiece detailing multiple useful aspects in the battlefield such as ammunition, armor integrity, an on-screen roundel able to be synced with a handheld motion tracker, and a reticle.
