Today we honor the fallen. Brave Killek, for you we weep as you no longer stand beside us, but we rejoice as we see you ascend into the Aether to take your rightful place among those who came before you in service to our Winged Arbiter. Those who were closest to Killek spoke of his mirth and love of traditional Avian dancing. From humble beginnings as one who cared for the temple grounds, he rose to fight the oppression of his people. For his sacrifice, we are thankful. Twenty two years of age, he grew so fast, and came so far to safeguard his people from harm. He died at the hands of a collective of militant grounded, and the combined forces of both Katune and the United Systems. May his wings fly true. Redeemed Ilteic, fallen from grace. She came to us from a grounded village where her love for Kluex brought shame upon her. From the chastisement she was rescued, and sought to redeem herself of her families tainted blood through penance. She served each day of her life as if reborn in service to the Winged Arbiter, so that not only she, but her family might be forgiven before his watchful gaze. She was a quiet girl, but dutiful until the end. Captured by the United Systems and later executed for her devotion to the Flightless. May she find peace, free from the oppression of the humans who wished to cage her.
