If for some reason, you find yourself visiting this quiet little space station in the middle of nowhere at 9:32 PM of current day, you would notice the small handful of crew members walk around Space Station with their luggage in tow. If you decided to follow them around, they would greet you with solemn smiles and welcome your company. The group would walk into a room, tidy it up, and wish it goodnight before moving on to the next. Starting from the diner, down through the clinics and into the bar. An older fellow with a comfortable looking sailor turtleneck sweater would clear out the bar's shelves and would offer a bottle or two to you. The holographic librarian would greet the group when they enter with a flickery smile. "Hello, what can I do for you today?" A little girl and her slightly older brother walks to the counter and tiptoes up to speak to the the flickery librarian. "Close your eyes for me", the girl would say. The hologram complies. "Goodnight, Pam.", the boy would say before clicking on the librarian call bell a few times. The librarian would stand there with closed eyes and a soft smile for a few moments before flickering one last time and disappearing.
Later, the group would arrive at the Broadcasting office, where computers beeped and power cables whirred from within the walls. A pair of techy looking folk would turn each machine off. One by one, TV shows that were too old to be of interest to anyone would stop airing. After wishing the room goodnight, the group would climb back up and through the now darkened halls and hubs with only the dim emergency lights to guide their way. If you decided to follow them to the hangar, a man with pilot overalls would greet the lot with a polite bow and a smile, "We ready to go?". If you decide to join them, they would willingly take you with them in a month long journey into a sector far, far away. If you decide to not join them, they would bid you farewell before leaving you all alone in a dark, empty space station. Emergency power would last only one week before cutting off air supply and teleporter functionalities.
