A common belief is that the Glitch are perpetually “stuck” in a medieval age and unable to evolve their technology, but the truth is that Glitch are a spacefaring race, capable of producing ships, weapons and armor that rival other species. What remains set in stone, however, is the Glitch’s beliefs and culture, which does reflect on the tech they create. Spaceships resemble castles and armored transport takes the form of a durasteel horse. However, not everyone in Glitch society has access to this advanced tech.

They key to producing this advanced tech within Glitch society are their Magi. As the Hivemind grants the Magi a vast wealth of knowledge in advanced subjects they are capable of producing, operating and maintaining complex technology. Magi are numerous enough that no kingdom will find itself with a shortage of spaceships or with a lack of “enchanted” equipment.

As numerous as the Magi are, their time is limited and precious. Glitch soldiers will find their equipment has minor “magical” enchantments, such as a vibro engine for their swords or metal shields with built-in energy shield devices. Craftsmen often collaborate with the Magi to produce these, and Magi and craftsmen often share a strong bond.

Thanks to their robotic precision and thousands of years to perfect their practice, Glitch craftsman are able to create products that, while simple, are both lasting and incredibly effective, even without the “enchantments” from a Magi. Of particular note are the Glitch fortifications and starships, capable of taking extreme amounts of punishment and still remaining operational.

The pinnacle of Glitch technology in the battlefield is, apart from their thundering cannons and the strange weapons of the Magi, are the Glitch knights. These noblemen ride to the battlefield on oversized robotic warhorses boasting the thickest armor, capable of shrugging off most calibers and even direct hits from AT weapons, and that is only if they get past the several PEIs installed on the warhorse. They are armed with a large weapon known as the flame jet lance, which expels a short-range superheated flame at such temperature and pressure it is capable of melting through armored vehicles and fortifications in seconds. The equipment of the knight is so heavy that, if his warhorse was to be destroyed, they would not even be able to walk.

A special note on Glitch blacksmiths and Magi has been the creation of armor that can be “connected” to their existing metal bodies, using the pistons and motors the Glitch already possess to their full efficiency to aid with the armor movement, becoming almost a second skin. In short, this means that Glitch are able to move around with much heavier armor then most races, yet still remain mobile, although how much depends on type and amount of armor.
