So, on the Antares 1.0 thread ( If you haven't seen it yet, go to Announcements and look at it pls ), it says cloning may make a return. So I thought, and thought, and then I realised something.

Novakid and Glitch can't be cloned.
I guess Glitch could be rebuilt, but I'd imagine the main CPU thing would have to survive.
When Novakid die, all that's left is a twisted metal brand.
Give me your feedback on whether I'm right or wrong pls pls pls

From the current Novakid lore, i think it's possible to deduce they cannot be cloned in the same way you'd clone a human or an apex, ... (or even Floran). I think there may be a way to clone Novakid; a novakid is created by:

So i'd say you "may" be able to recreate a Novakid if you are able to replicate the circumstances that gave birth to it in the first place, rejuvenating it as it were, maybe have it lose a significant amount of its memories and stuff.
You may be able to "reset" them as it were, if the brand is still intact after they die.

So you "may" be able to recreate a Novakid, and possibly rejuvenate them; the older the Novakid the less energy they posses. So recreating a Novakid (if the brand is still intact, but it's old, obscure "tech magic" so you may not be allowed to fiddle with that, unless the mods allow you to)

Novakid eat, like the Glitch, to have some sort of energy intake. Apparantly the brand is also responsible for processing energy-intake, so not eating leads to their brand giving hunger feedback and cause a Novakid to starve, which will damage the brand(?)...

The general Novakid lore thread: http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?threads/meet-the-novakid.16712/

TL;DR : Depends on whether the mods allow you to fuck around with the Novakid lore.

For Glitch: dead glitch parts are used to create new Glitch, recreating a specific Glitch after death is probably impossible, unless the head / consciousness survived, then you can probably repair the body, but i don't think you'd be able to replicate the exact same Glitch again. They probably have some sort of auto-reformatting software upon death so their parts may be repurposed after their death. So the data / personality is lost. (=> 100% speculation)

A bit more info about the Glitch ( http://community.playstarboundrp.com/threads/a-basic-guide-to-the-inner-workings-of-the-glitch-by-professor-oak-ic-ooc-khaltor.6278/ ), based on item descriptions, lore codexes, original introduction and logic. #Shameless self-advertising.

Cloning won't return. Have you heard the responses to it on the 1.0 Update?

I'm also opposed to cloning in general, it takes away any consequence from any form of murder/death type of deals. Especially because people die rarely anyway...

Back when cloning was a thing, death and death-related situations were very common. Since we haven't learned from it, apparently, I expect history to repeat itself, and such events to occur much more frequently. If cloning becomes a thing, that is.
