GLADIATORS!

Moved from Suggestions to RP Planning as it isn't really classified as a larger suggestion. More something that can be planned out and worked out between players for in character action.

Taranis Arena is this, minus the slaves. Plus, fights are quite frequent with Soldiers and Squires training for promotion.

 

Finally someone is doing it, good! Make a space station, buy slaves and make them gladiators. Those characters consented to be slaves, they consented to be whatever you use them as.

Also, gladiator death was a myth. Gladiators were actually costly investments, and it was actually very rare for one to die. Most fights ended when a gladiator was unable to continue battle, or the fight was deemed over before one of them got a crippling injury. I think that would translate well onto the server to avoid the whole death thing, and make the fights much more spectacular as these fighters would be investments rather than cheap snuff film slave garbage.

 

Space station sounds like it would be a cool idea. Design a cool glass dome that looks out into space with the arena right inside, just like you tend to see in various forms of sci-fi that do stuff like that. Haha.

 

Needs more thunderdome.

I like the space station idea. Some seedy space station visited by smugglers, pirates etc, with a bar, rooms to take drugs, slave auctions and fights

 

If I wasn't a straight cut Colonel, I'd be a coke lord with a gladiator pit.

 

I WAS making a space station for my slavers, but got tired of building it alone

 

Just make a wrestling ring surrounded by barbed wire. We have enough hicks around in rp to make it work
