    Chat Tab Mod
    Spawnable Items Mod
    Manipulated UI Mod
    Roleplay Tech

The four mods above are the four base mods that a majority of the server uses already; they're perfectly compatible with vanilla, and acceptable for use on our server. They're handy for general rp, building, and whatnot.

All you have to do is locate your mod folder inside your starbound folder, download these, and stick them in there. Then run the game.

The Chat Tab modpack modifies the existing Chat system to work better for Roleplay. It changes the tabs to OOC, Radio (Galaxy), Radio (Party), Radio (Local), and Local. Being on local simply allows you to view local messages, and your radio is off. Radio Local allows you to see broadcasted radio messages, but lets you speak in Local. Radio Party is party chat. Radio Galaxy allows you to view local messages, and speak in Galaxy Radio. OOC is... OOC I guess.

Spawnable Items is a rather self-explanatory mod that basically grants you creative mode. It's paired with the Manipulated UI mod (both are required in order for it to work), and basically allows you to access a menu where you can spawn in any in-game item through the Matter Manipulator menu. Just push the matter manipulator button, and it'll give you an option to acces the Manipulator menu, or the Spawnable Items menu.

Roleplay Tech allows you to rotate your character, change your color pallette, grow and shrink in size, and grants invincibility, I believe. To activate it, you need to go into Singleplayer, and give yourself admin powers by using the /admin command. Then, you use the /enableTech command to enable the Distortion Sphere tech, which is replaced with the Roleplay tech. The commands will look like this:
    Code:
    /admin
    /enableTech distortionsphere
Once you've enabled the tech, just equip it at a tech station you either spawn in, or find. Pressing W along with A or D lets you rotate, Shift plus F will reset you, but sometimes stick you in the floor, double-tapping A or D will roll you around until you're upright again, so it can get you out of the ground if you're stuck, pressing F once will allow for palette swapping, again will... do a thing, doing it a third time turns you transparent, and you look like a hologram, and pressing it after that returns you to normal. Not sure about that one. Pressing G allows you to sit, just, anywhere, and float around while doing it, pressing H will allow you to noclip around the map, pressing A or S, followed by G will allow you to grow or shrink respectively.

There's a few others you could look into, such as Better Avians, an Extended Songbook, or other mods that change client-side functions. For the most part, so long as it's compatible with vanilla (and won't break our server), it's generally safe to use a mod. If you have any questions or concerns about a mod, however, just send a Personal Message to a staff member; the worst they could say is, "No."
