    District 830

District 830 is located just outside of a small spaceport close to Corrav’s capital districts. The local gang presence often turns people away, but it acts primarily as a commercial and residential sector by this gang known as CrowCo. Any aspiring businessman can work here due to the somewhat of a quiet neighbourhood set up by CrowCo. Not exactly a “safe haven”, it still suffers from the constant vandalism and petty crime that plagues all of Corrav, but CrowCo’s influence generally silences the planet’s other violent inhabitants, as the merchant band prefers their business going uninterrupted. Men and Women looking for work can find it if they know where to look and the jobs often pay well, however illegal they are in inner space.

    The Planet of Corrav

The planet of Corrav itself is around the size of Earth’s moon with a slightly lower level of gravity. The planet itself has no natural light, but the blinding neon has long ago left enough light pollution to make the sky bright enough to see bye. The planet has long since been covered in skyscrapers and buildings, completely covering the surface apart from the rapidly melting polar ice-caps. The planet’s extensive population and industrialism is due to it’s convenient placement as a gateway for goods being transferred between the fringe colonies and inner space, leading to an almost astonishing amount of growth in economy and residency. The lowest levels of Corrav, the ‘Mire’, is just above what was the planet’s surface, now deep under waves. Due to the melting ice caps, the water level rose swiftly, destroying many of the planet’s slums and forcing the creation of higher and higher buildings, which eventually became entire metal cities of their own. The mire is what remains of the lowers levels of buildings, some of them from even before the water rose, a wet and dirty cesspool of life filled with the forgotten. The next level are the factories, an industrial sector used for producing all the goods that are distributed on and around Corrav. There is little residency and most of the labor consists of slaves policed by the Stormcrows or mindless robot drones. Above this lies the central level, a sprawling neo-city with an endless night life, full of apartment buildings and back alleys and all commercial enterprises. It is policed by the separate gangs with no law enforcement of it’s own, who eliminate anything they deem a threat.

    History

The world was first populated with illegal activity when it was still blossoming, just after the waters had begun to rise and Earth had been destroyed elsewhere. A criminal group, a fraction of the massive organization that had cracked with the destruction of Earth, simply called ‘The Brass’, took up residence in hopes to avoid any higher authority attention and to rebuild. This was led by a human named ‘Vigo Mello’, then a young man. This was the first of four groups to take up root in the city, growing large and influential over time, already stable by the arrival of a second group fifteen years later.

Kellmell, as the group was called when it first arrived, meaning ‘Sand Warriors’ in the group’s original native tongue, was a large conglomerate of bounty hunters and mercenaries led by a floran tribe that originated on the desert planet Guanyin, though many other races and cultures had been associated and inducted since its creation. The group was unrelated to the previous destruction of earth, only arriving on Corrav due to opportunities surrounding its thriving economy. Conflict with The Brass was almost immediate upon their arrival, and as Kellmell dug it’s niche in the city it had to deal with constant attacks from the elder faction. Eventually uneasy peace was attained when The Brass traded Vigo’s only daughter to their leader floran Juba for their submission. A large portion of Kellmell broke off after this transaction, feeling like they had dishonored the faction’s principles by coming to compromise. The remaining army became ‘The Storm Company.’ The planet’s second faction, filled with guns for hire serving the Brass.

The other half of Karmell became ‘The Moon’s Eye’, a shadowy group that could be described as cult like, not presenting itself as prominently as the other two and working mostly in secret, with principles that centered around respecting Karmell’s original tribal ideas and creating an almost obsessive following. Too sparse and hidden to be dealt with by either of the other factions, they worked separately as mercenaries for the public, their methods mirroring that of any assassin.

The final faction formed on Corrav itself, the self deemed ‘CrowCo’ consisting primarily of the previously non-affiliated illegal merchants of Corrav banding together for a more efficient and safe business. Much less violent than the other factions, these merchants and traders prefer to deal, producing most of the weaponry and illegal substances that are both used or sold by the other factions. Their activity goes for the large part unnoticed, enslaving Mire citizens, a resource uncared for by the others. Too important to be threatened by any of the other three, their efficiency couldn’t possibly be mimicked by them. A faction born of resourceful street rats, they’re a friend to all if shown enough cash.

Title would be District 830 and little descriptive line would be
"In a sprawling neo-city situated among iron towers above the waves, District 830 offers some asylum from Corrav's crime rampant streets."
