Toxic-top based "Bliss" Perhaps your character may have heard the name before, Bliss being a once obscure--and dangerously addictive--drug. The stigma it carries is strong, but the pain relief it has for those suffering from missing limbs or old bullet wounds is even stronger. Users enter a euphoric, “blissed-out” state, becoming indifferent to their surroundings. Though your char may have only planned to take it once or twice, they’d have difficulties resisting the urges for just one more. Production process >Toxic tops are harvested >Toxic tops are gutted and the acidic fruit is crushed and ground into a thick paste >Toxic top paste is then enriched and mixed with prescription antidepressant >Toxic top paste is crushed and ground again to ensure the mixture is stable >The narcotic is poured into a press and condensed, before being pressed into the pill mold >The narcotic is now ready to be distributed Why your character would use it: Serves as a strong pain reliever; characters who are desperate to relieve the pain from their missing limbs or bullet wounds may find temporary relief in this drug. Justifies apathetic behavior that is rampant in Antares Serves as an “escape” for the depressed Initial effects (After two minutes): Depressant/Anti-Anxiety Strong feeling of Euphoria Warm, tingly skin Disorientation Serves as a relatively strong pain reliever Visibly constricted pupils NOTE: If the drug is snorted or injected, the user experiences a stronger high, but risks consequences from the poisonous compound found in toxic tops. Effects after fifteen minutes (intensity depending on frequency of use): Relaxed, accepting state of mind is induced Numbed senses of touch and hearing Loss of balance Vivid, self-controlled dreams (if the user goes to sleep) Slowed heartbeat, laboured breathing Sense of peace, apparent unity with your surroundings Coming down, two hours later (effects last for roughly 2 hours): Disorientation Dizziness / Loss of balance Fatigue Boredom, Apathy Prolonged use Narcolepsy Depression Irritability Muscle soreness Indifference to one’s surroundings Withdrawal Drug Cravings Intense feeling of depression Irritability Vivid hallucinations Aching muscles Long-term effects Pale, yellowed skin Sunken, baggy eyes Grey irises, bloodshot eyes Itchiness Twitchiness Weakened immune system Severe depression (Too long? Not long enough? If you guys have any ideas on how this could be improved, I want to hear your thoughts. :> )
"I don't know what kind of lingo you kids think is hip nowadays, but let's just call it meth like everybody else!"
Damn, Dynyl's gonna get high off of this shit! It's nice for an actual drug to be introduced into Antares, one that an actual player has made themselves, despite it being closely like heroin. Just better hope Vireo doesn't find out I'm taking this.
The doors are heavily locked, the blinds are closed (you'd need something to climb on to reach the windows), the house is distant and inconspicuous... Did you break the door down with superhuman strength? Why would you break the door down? What made you think to check that house in particular? Were you just robbing every house there? OOC, it's an obvious hiding spot. IC, it isn't. I'm sorry, but I'm going to void Cartel involvement. None of this makes sense.
I've heard "Bliss" used a billion times as a drug name (but I'm not denying it fits well). I mean I don't have any other good names, so maybe I shouldn't be judgin'.
Why would we - the Dianthus Cartel - drop off rice if we for one: own none of our own to drop off, and two: back down at Asani if it's all it bloody has farm wise? That's illogical. In other words damn it Frohman; "wandering about the rice paddy fields looking for somewhere to drop off Arizona's rice" indeed.
Okay, let's try to get back on topic. Rice doesn't relate much to bliss. Any criticism on the symptoms? Anything I forgot to include? Anyone else interested in getting a character hooked?
Strong is already addicted to Generic(TM) painkillers. Otherwise I would, but I'm not trying to kill the guy.
Dynyl takes the pills day and night. He's gonna run out of his bottle of ten pills by the end of the day! EDIT; If he were hooked for two weeks, taking one per afternoon, would there be any noticeable difference?
I'd say that the "prolonged use" category would start to bear some minor relevance by then, and he'd start to feel some of the effects of withdrawal during the times of the day where he isn't drugged. If he decides to stop taking the drug cold-turkey, you could expect moderate withdrawal symptoms, at this point.
Knowing in real-life how my parents can't stop smoking, they just need one more cigarette, I'm sure Dynyl would try his best to get off of the meds, but still take them anyway. This was a good thing to add to the server by the way. I praise you Pig. <3
