If you're doing something important at the time of a scheduled restart, spin around three times and sit back down in your chair. When you log back in after the spins the server will be back up.

Whenever you get into/observe a spontaneous combat scenario and it has no pre-agreed dice-rules or pre-agreed victors, take a shot. 3.a If it devolves into an OOC-argument, take three shots. 3.b If it involves dodgy technology that is hard to justify with lore, take five shots. *to be continued when I can be arsed*
