N.E.X.U.S., as outlined in the IC text above, is a massive space station holding technology long lost to Antares. I will be expanding on the lore after the server wipe, since there isn't much point in building it now. But you can still apply now, I don't want to make a colony only to have it die two hours later.
COLONY POSITIONS:
Staff: Responsible for maintaining order (or some semblance of it), directing the builders, and handling member applications. They also need to make sure nobody fucks up the engine room or the fusion reactor. That shit is expensive.
Builder: Responsible for the construction of Nexus (OOC of course). Builders will be directed by the staff members but can build without staff present in Nexus if they talk to a staff member either on the StarNet or on the interstellar radio.
Member: Anybody can visit Nexus and use its utilities, but Members get a small area of the station to themselves, (which they can customize to their liking,) along with the right to sell their goods on the station.

((Before I post Transcript 2, I just want to gauge community interest here. Would anyone be interested in a space station colony? We need new lawful colonies, Wayward and Taranis are the only ones I know of that aren't taken over by bandits. If you are interested in the colony, would you support a public event involving securing the NEXUS' treasure trove of working technology? Please give me your opinions, thanks!))

Yeah, I was planning to have a chest at the spawnpoint with 16 stacks of 1000 SS's in them (StarCheat FTW!), but oxygen sounds much better. and what are "Star Charts"?

But 1.0 makes it all moot I suppose. Haven't been following StarBound much, had no idea a huge update was right around the corner! In that case, I will try out a character type I haven't done before, the Trader! Thanks everyone for their input but with 1.0 I don't think I would be willing to invest time into a new colony for it to get wiped again.
