A week or so ago I asked Kazyyk to give me a project for my filming in the Starbound universe. He told me "Make a commercial" and I have done so. While I am proud of my work I am open to any feedback you may want to give to make my future videos better. It's a learning experience and a slightly edited version of the video should be up on Kaz's channel sometime today as well as replacing the one we have on starbound server lister. For now, I have it on my channel as well for your viewing pleasure.
Not bad at all! Like the song choice. Was kinda expecting to see the server banner, but that's nitpicking. Good work.
this song lmao it doesnt match video at all and font at ending is bad idea for video is pretty good i mean it promotes all these locations nicely
Hmm, song choice and opening with gunfire kind of sends the impression that this is a combat/gunbattle server, Also, saying active community while showing several empty colonies is a bit contrasting
Considering people only really visit New Chicago it was hard to find any place with actual people. The song, in my opinion is fitting (And yes, we all know that Borderlands 2 came out two years ago. Whether or not you liked the game, it's old enough that the song choice shouldn't be dictated by "Well, it was in Borderlands 2") for the server and the general "mood" people typically get. On the subject of the gunfire, well, this /is/ a combative server. I can't think of a day that has gone by where someone /didn't/ pull a gun.
I agree entirely. The font is something that I've been meaning to get a handle on for some time, but I just don't know how I can go about doing it. Putting text in video seems to be something that you just /can't/ do. Especially for a two-dimensional game. Either way, I do intend to revisit the subject of a commercial at some point, but this was not only to show that I'm not incompetent but to hopefully, in the future, ask people to cooperate and help me with more videos. That way, I have people who can show up XD.
I do find the song rather ironic in that half the server is wrapped up in trying to play hero whenever something bad happens. Then there's the previous comment about saying "active" and showing a bunch of ghost towns. Not particularly justified in that Asani and Alioth have small trickles of activity at the very least. Nearly all the parts of NC that were shown were also abandoned, so it didn't help much either. 3/10 for murdering innocent Avian NPC in their own home.
I wish you would have posted something about this. I write music and I could have made a custom audio track for the video.
