    So here's what I'm thinking, suddenly out of nowhere a dormant black hole is detected close to the Antares sector and then it sucks everything up and everyone dies.

    What do you think?

    uhh... First off, Antares is a sector of the milky way. from the center of the galaxy to the very outer edge, thats antares. a "black hole" the size to swallow up a quarter of the galaxy already exists, and its what keeping the galaxy in harmony. its called the center of the galaxy.

    SCIENCE

    Also I dont up vote this as logistically, we dont want to put hours of hard work into something than throw it away.

    Judging by the fact that this is a "sector", and not a planetary system, there are probably numerous black holes in the Antares Sector, and even a
    super-massive black hole would probably be insignificant at best assuming it wasn't near any major colonies. A black hole popping up near some major location could be interesting though, it is just near-impossible for an entire section of the galaxy to be at risk. With a bit of tweaking this could be fun.
