All right, I now have regrets with getting involved in that little discussion...Flora, I get this is an annoying subject, but people here genuinely stopped caring for this because it's just a poor subject, really, it's best left to interpretation, really, when someone brings up different factors in RP, I just say "I believe it'sss different betwen Floransss basssed on their tribe'sss hissstory." or whatever.

I'd say for the most part they are the same as the other races, but with obvious exceptions. They are plantlike in many ways, but they can't be too plantlike, or they wouldn't be able to be as active as they are.

Overall, the idea of floran reproduction is generally seen as being done through pollen transfer. At least that's the general consensus of how it works. In addition, there's this:

"Though a unisex race, Floran culture values survival through reproduction and expansion over environmentalism or any perceived bond to Mother Nature. "

That's a quote taken directly from the Floran wiki entry. As such, florans likely not have similar reproductive organs to other species. Hell, it's also very possible that they reproduce asexually, given their species' unisex.

And that's not counting the animation that plays after you die while playing as a Floran, where you're literally grown as the fruit of a flower.

It's true. Florans are secretly overgrown Chia pets. Ch-ch-ch-chia!

Plants do have sexual reproduction. (Look it up)

It's not all that different from animals in many ways. Male and Female plants DO have reproductive parts. The only thing is plants aren't mobile, so it's obvious they needed a different way to transport genetic material. This is normally done through wind, water, bugs and such.

That said, in a plant species that is a animal-like as it is, considering the evolution of reproductive organs in animals, it's not far fetched at all that the Floran would evolve similar reproductive methods since they have proven to be a dominant evolutionary trait (AKA it works)

TLDR: Florans can have "carrots" and "flowers" and pollinate each other.

    Biology is a wonderful thing.

However, for the sake of cross-species sexual interactions are just not possible. It would be the equivalent of trying to have sex with a plant. Lol

if you define sex by insert-tab-a-into-slot-b, then sure, but people tend to be creative.

I agree with you on this. Chromosomes even between Avian, Human, Apex, and Hylotl are more than likely very different and incompatible.

Locking thread. Overall, it's served its purpose, but has now gotten to the point of just being overall inappropriate.
