    {The hyper-band radio broadcast designated underneath 109.8 crackles to life for the first time, designated underneath a one way channel spread across the sector for those tuned in. Anyone near to the channel's frequency would hear a rather crisp voice speak up, smooth yet monotone like an Apex's voice. "Hello ladies and gentlemen; you're listening to Free To Play radio and we're live straight from our station located right here in your quadrant, bringing you the word on the wind."

    A shuffling of papers followed by a brief clearing of a throat breaks the speck of silence following the introduction. "Now... to the news. Recent developments on the home front have brought an astonishing discovery of the disbandment of the Indigenous Guard, known locally as the IG. Any comments on why were met with complete silence. Certain individuals rejoiced, having heard of what went down at a known colony proclaimed 'The Ranch', where separatist forces from the 'Unforgotten' and IG faced off in what would effectively leave the colony in ruins."

    Paper shuffling, and more noise coming from the same channel on 109.8. "With the IG gone, the council finds themselves in a predicament, with no force to lead their agenda, they turn to other factors on the frontier. A newly formed group proclaiming themselves as AFIF were greeted by Council representatives to discuss the forming of a new nation, and their official inclusion to the Council itself. With this newly formed nation now operating on what is currently fringe space, the hope of civilizing normally anarchic states draws closer.

    "The current need for a replacement force, and made up of people that know the local area, have drawn out the AFIF as this replacement. AFIF are mostly made up of workers and those born to the frontier from pioneers once before. Although once opposing Council law and doctrine, the two have come to a formal agreement on the subject, and now have a mutual understanding of why the laws exist for which to be enforced." an adjustment of the microphone, and some silence later, plus a snazzy little musical sting to follow it: "Although the fringe has remained relatively lawless as of late, the AFIF hopes to rejuvenate this problem, with the help of minor Council support."

    "In other news, pirates have been rampaging across mid worlds, disrupting various amounts of trade that arrive into the sector by deadlocking known routes across well traveled colonies. Although the fringe seems to currently lack any known pirate organizations, it is important to report them to the Council for immediate dispatching. With that in mind, please report criminals and wrongdoers for the potential of reward." ...more paper turning. "That concludes today's daily breaking news, enjoy the sweet sounds of mellowed jazz played right from this here studio." The broadcast plays an outro sting, before fading into modernized jazz synth.}
