As you may or may not know, I've been enhancing Silver's LuAnimator mod to create a number of controllable critters to use as NPCs for events on Fernbrook, player vs environment style. This isn't the most well guarded secret, especially when people start seeing them actually used in said events. The trouble is that I've received the first of what I can only assume will be many requests to help create custom animations for use outside of fernbrook events, namely for use as a pet. Since this is treading close to Custom Race territory, I wanted to get some feedback from the staff before handing items and knowledge out willy-nilly. Should I direct people to file applications for this sort of thing? Thanks!
It's fair to assume that there are a HUGE range of animal life throughout the travelled universe. There isn't much harm in it -- so long as the 'pets' and creatures people are portraying aren't magical or powergamey. So long as the animals remain animals and don't just become non-sapient characters it's fine.
