Anomaly Zone Name

    If we go through with the anomaly plotline and lore, we'll no longer be based in the Antares Frontier.
    So this new area should probably have it's own name. Let's play a game about it!

    Alright, so let's say you're the first ex-Antaran to be displaced to this new area.
    You do a little bit of exploring and you realize that apart from some animalistic alien life, it's uninhabited.

    You decide to name it (the area in space, not the planet).
    What do you call it?​

    Haven't played in probably a year plus but keep getting emails about it so may as well chip in. How about Nova Antares or whatever the main hub is called but Nova.

    The New Wild, a Daedalus Class Zone. The New Wild has recently been discovered (via the displacement) and large corporations and governments are rushing in to 'civilize' the area and reap the benefits. Pirates are taking advantage of all of the trade ships which would create disrest at first, but as time marched on, the large businesses
    learned and didn't venture into The New Wild as far or for as long.

    Maybe the Valhalla Prime sector? Or we could just take a real life galaxy and say, hey, it's in this previously unexplored galaxy, let's call it this!

    It has to be fairly simple. I'm not downgrading to anything above three syllables. I also don't think we are going to get a name that everyone fully agrees on, so people need to be open, and receptive. I don't think firing down the list and hitting dislike is really the best way to be doing this. Just keep making suggestions and the community favourites will naturally rise to the top.

    I'll throw in the name "Otu". Maybe suffix it with "Sector", "Zone", or "Nebula".

    Instead of arbitrarily naming it something cool, we should use a name relative to the milkyway galaxy, as I believe the chucklefish canon has SB taking place in the MW. Anything within the Virgo Supercluster.

    The Vega district refers to the star Vega of the Lyra constellation, located in the milkyway.

    I might point out that there is a star known as Antares 2. It's not viewable from earth, do to Antares's "Brightness". Its relatively close to Antares, but still millions of light years away. Just a thought for people who don't want to leave the name Antares Frontier.
