GALAXY NEWS NEWS ACROSS THE SECTORS, TO YOU! --ANTARES NEWS-- GUNFIRE BREAKS OUT IN ASANI ((again!)) Spoiler Recently, gunfights have been more and more common across Asani. Recently, a large gunfight broke out when some drug dealers were busted. The dealers responded with violence, injuring security forces. A barfight broke out as well, killing one and injuring a second. --TELPHIN NEWS-- HOLY FLEET - USCM TENSIONS -- SECTOR WAR IN OUR MIDST? Spoiler Recently, border disputes between the Ninth Holy Fleet of Avos, and the USCM's Prosperity Fleet, have broken into violence as the Avian Flagship, Holy Prejudice, launched an attack on a USCM-held traffic point. The USCM ship, The Greece, managed to escape unharmed to a safer checkpoint. However, the Daedelus and the Enterprise ((not a startrek reference i swear)) both sustained very heavy damages. The Daedelus' damages were severe enough to warrant a complete De-commissioning of the ship. UPDATE - PEACE TALKS BETWEEN 9TH HF OF AVOS AND USCM INTERRUPTED BY YET MORE VIOLENCE?? Spoiler Peace talks between the 9th Holy Fleet and USCM's Prosperity fleet were interrupted as Avian defectors attacked yet again, this time on a pair of USCM light frigates, the 'sisters', Archer and Hoplite. They both fended off the Avian defectors, and reported the violence. The leader of the Avian ship, Captain Harvoss, will be met with strict punishments and peace talks will be continued. REPAIRS ON TELPHIN GATE'S MAIN STATION, THE DUST Spoiler Telphin Gate, (a slang referring to the outskirts of the Telphin sector, mainly along the border of the Avian controlled sector nearby), is known most for it's massive station, home to at least 50 thousand, known as The Dust. This massive station is not quite a station in a sense, rather a large congregation of interconnected stations. However, one of the major connectors maintained structural damage after an accident. According to reports, a fighter pilot crashed into the connector while drunk. Engineers on the station are still not quite sure why the station's shields were so ineffective. The main connector is closed, and repairs plan to stretch well within a week. Yet another reason to not drink and fly! --NAGARA NEWS-- HYLOTL TRADE THRIVING Spoiler The newly established Hylotl trading polices has been well-met. Economic growth in the sector has surged, increasing jobs and income. More comments soon to come. MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE! Spoiler Hylotl exploration ship, the Namusk, has completely vanished. It was set to explore a newly established sector. The last transmission received via comm buoys claimed to have discovered an unknown space anomaly, and about two days later, the ship disappeared without a trace. Search ships are to be sent in within the next day, along with a science vessel to determine what exactly the Namusk mentioned in its last log. In all, 32 lives were lost/presumed missing. ((Your character likely has at least a bit of information on the goings-on between the sectors. Fill in any information gaps with something reasonable if you really want to.)) ((I honestly dont think there could be lore breaks in here, perhaps the Avian-Human tensions somehow, but idk. It's a local thing not a universe-encompassing war or something stupid. ((This was a very good read for multiple reasons. @CaptainBritton02 said that they took the bias thing pretty harshly. This is no issue here, bias would be reasonable, yeah, but you basically just stated "X happened, Y is caused, it requires Z to N it. F is resulted." Not something like "X did Y and Z are enraged by it, thought to be linked to N. Stay away from X. We hope for the recovery of Y." (I'm a focking nerd) I would like to see more of this, because, despite it not linking to Antares all too much, gives a little info what's happening outside of Antares in these imaginary sectors. Anyway, uh, cut OOC. Yiss.)) Good to hear it. Too bad about what's happening in Telphin.
