I created a Flightless Avian named Siarra Sterling a few months ago, with the help of Leschinsky since I can't make sense of SBSE in the slightest, and I was wondering how people felt about the character. I know that her backstory was a bit wonky, and I'm currently working on that, but I'd like to know if there was anything I missed. Sending your character outside of Antares to go back to Avos can be quite the changing experience, don't you think? Also, here's some character art (Courtesy of Graw and Toadkid) and an IG screenshot, incase you forgot about her and need that light bulb in your head to go off. Spoiler
I want to kill her. Don't feel bad, I want to kill a lot of characters. A vast majority of them are female with the homosexual orientation. Not homophobe, I just really hate mesbian characters.
She's not homosexual. I doubt I could pull off a lesbian character appropriately, so I avoid that route. Every one of my female characters is straight. except for Clarice, but we do not speak of that
"Hello, due to the violence of the Floran populace, I'd like to have a petition so that they are more regulated with coming here." "No, that'd be racist." [5 Minutes Later] "Florans are trying to kill me, help Omen."
I know she isn't. I'm just pointing out the reason I hate most characters and want to kill them. That reason does not apply to Siarra. I honestly forgot why I wanted to kill her. Something to do with one of my older characters but I'm pretty sure they're kill.
She was racist against Florans. I mean, who wouldn't be? They're born with an instinct to kill and what-not. Maybe your character was a Floran, I dunno, toss me some names.
Nah, wasn't Redwilt. Rarely played him. It was probably a human character or something. Edit: It was Ivyleaf. The petition to ban florans made Ivyleaf want to kill her.
Never had any experience roleplaying with the character. I am not overly fond of the color scheme though.
She was too nice to Herx for hitting on her consistently after she'd explained to him several times that she was involved in a relationship. I dunno I feel it was weird how chill she was with someone hitting on her so much I imagine it would make a person uncomfortable.
Wonky is a funny word. Siarra is also a funny character. I felt like her reaction to helping some stranger she just met pull a frozen corpse out of a pond was a bit too remarkably calm. In the little time I've seen her in action she also seems adverse to strong emotions in spite of being young, which I found unusual. These are some thoughts I had on the matter.
Gotcha, thanks. I'be been working on that, but it's a good reminder. For example, the time that a guy pulled a gun on her she completely fell apart. As for the corpse thing, I had a different idea for her originally than for what I have now. She was supposed to be a grounded independent criminal. I've since recycled the idea on another character. ( Apologies for grammar and feel of the response, currently using my phone. )
